Dispel Macro

for a priest,

wtb a macro that allows me to cast dispel on myself if i am targeting an enemy player, and cast dispel on my target if i am targeting a friendly player.

/cast [help,target=target] Dispel Magic

/cast [target=druiddroid] Dispel Magic

Try this, it's a direct copypaste of arenajunkies' PW:shield macro.

It should also dispel yourself if you have no target selected.

Isn't this the default behaviour when the "self-casting" UI parameter is turned on?

(i.e you don't need a macro for this)

Only if targeting enemy player or npc.

Edit: Forget about the enemy targeting, that work on all helpful spells but dispell. Thanks Hamcake for the reminder.

Actually it would attempt to dispel the enemy with this spell...

OMG I must be an idiot. I completely forgot about that since I have been playing pally lately(clense). Hamcake is correct, I think there is a CTRL on Shift command to self cast though. To think I have a 19 priest and 70 priest, and didn't remember that, wth is wrong with me.

/cast [help,target=target] Dispel Magic; [target=player] Dispel Magic

if that does not work:

/cast [help,target=target] Dispel Magic

/cast [target=player] Dispel Magic

but i dont get the point of this...

thanks for the help :) i'll try out those macroes.

if i'm targeting an enemy player it will try to dispel that player. i want a macro so i can just use it to dispel myself. say i have a hunter on me and i want to dispel a root off of me, then it will attempt to dispel the hunter rather than myself because it automatically targets the hunter.

i don't use modifiers because i usually don't play a priest or support class and just use the "self-cast" feature on my other characters. call me dumb or whatever but it's just the way i play

tbh, i use healbot/grid to dispel me/team and and the normal spell/mouseover for enemy targets.

(or a macro on an easy keybind for selfdispel)

/cast [help] Dispel Magic; [harm, target=player] Dispel Magic

So you never want to dispel your enemies?

Kinda weird, but I think that will work for you.

I just posted this but if my macro doesnt work I think this site would help
