greyed our quests usually mean its below your level. Your question and statement is not very specific but from the information you gave I’m assuming it’s just a bug in your quest log to show it as a no experience quest?

When you're a coordinator but don't catch on
 
I think by grey out he means it has a grey ! above his head which means you are 1-2 lvls to low to take it, and like it was said earlier its GF'd now :(

Thank you for your replies. Yeah, thats what it seemed like but wanted to make sure. Noticed lvl 40 req for quest but not on the item itself. Sad because it seems like such a strong choice for feral to be able to pop it with tiger fury on a opener.
 
can get the next best thing with the trinket from i believe scholo? i forget if its that or SM... but has +crit strike and +25 agi(unless you have the old version of it which gave +27 agi before scaling

the steel talisman is nerfed in pvp so not as good as searing words if you crit often.. but if you want that control over the increase in dmg then it is good. Might as well go black panther trink though if you want the agi increase control(or get them all for sets!)
