hi, so today i started to run brd to stack up on keys but they got removed when i walked out of brd, i was just standing outside of enterance to reset the dungeon.
Iirc i used to be able to save keys for a couple of runs?
 
You still can, you just need to die inside the instance - best way to do this is to jump in the lava. Also if you have space in your bags, you can set a Armor Set to remove all gear with durability, as this will make you avoid Dura Loss when you die to save keys.

When you are a spirit just reset the instance and run back in!

Im running the big pull now on a 90 rogue stacking 50+ keys in a couple of run & then i enter with my 60 and open boxes :)

Log out while inside the dungeon on your 90 and reset outside on your level 60, when you log back to your 90 it should be inside the dungeon with all the keys in inventory while all mobs\bosses\coffers have respawned :)
 
If i open a box on my hunter and necklace of intellect is in the box, can i inv my priest and come pick it?
Is there some 'rule' that you need to be in the instance to get loot from boxes when they open

Yes you need to be eligible to loot it meaning that your priest in this case can't loot it.
 
Sorry Sebs, but you are wrong. You can invite anyone after the box is open and they can loot it.

Your 60s never need to be online, and you can even have people run across the world to come loot a ring/neck as long as the person INSIDE THE COFFER ROOM, opens and closes the box every 5 or so seconds - as this will reset its despawn timer.

The fastest/best way to farm for them is;

Invite all your 60s to group -> log them outside the instance -> open Coffers on your main for quick Key Farming -> Any Necks/Rings that drop, just open/close it once -> log out -> switch over -> run in and loot.

So I guess it works kinda like chest farming at lvl 20?
 
do the coffers respawn on their own after opening/looting, or do you need to reset the entire instance?
 
You need to reset the instance after you loot them. Hence, jumping in the lava and resetting as a ghost outside prior to reentering is mandatory.. Esp if your planning on keeping any remaining keys in your bags.

So, I have enough time to log onto my 60, and come loot after I've opened the chest on my main? Er, nvm . That was what you who said you have to apparently wait 5 or so seconds for the despawn timer to reset. I'm so confused! HELP!

ok, thank you. have been doing this off and on for few months. only gotten 1 ring (of strength) for a rogue. so depressing.

As long as your 60s are in the same Party and are logged out outside the instance, you will have enough time to loot it. You have about a minute to loot it after you close the box.
