Couple of questions about DH twink

Thinking about making a DH twink but I cannot find answer in this forum for couple of questions.
In the current anniversary event, I should do timewalking for the Thandaldis gear and the timewalking world bosses?
Which is better right slot now 110 or 111 level? I can see posts from august saying that Azerite gear no longer works for 110, is it correct?
Does it make sense to do legion legendaries?

110 on legion gets to pvp in regular xpon bg’s. no azerite gear works if you transfer from bfa to legion. 111 is more of a pve/wpvp twink. benefits to 111 are better scaling of gems.
best gear for both is mythic antorus and legion leggos.

I have another question about the anniversary items. I got one which is level 322, do they scale with level or the gear you already have? If it is the latter then I guess I need to gear up quickly to get better ilvl than 322.

Legendaries' special effects don't work in BGs regardless of level. If you're picking legendaries for BG play, consider them 265 ilvl stat sticks. The crafted ones with 3 sockets are usually BiS, and I believe many opt for one of the trinkets for extra stats.

And why are (or it just seems) most people doing 119 twinks instead of 111. It scales and you still have the legendaries, so the 111 is better, right?

119s got a nice set of high ilvl gear with this anniversary event, so a lot of people dusted them off and therefore there were a lot of posts about that lately. From a purely WPvP point of view, 110/111s are definitely stronger (better scaling, legendaries still work).

Based on your previous posts, I assume you're going for a 110 or 111 twink. Anniversary or Timewalking gear is pretty much useless to you (and yes, it is scaling based on level, but different events seem to have different base ilvls), other than a stopgap measure before you get Antorus mythic pieces. The ilvl is just too low.

A good rule of thumb for a 110/111 WPvP twink is: Plan what Azerite traits you want - the stickied Quick Start thread here helps with that. Get the best non-Antorus trinkets you can (Antorus trinket effects are nerfed 75% or thereabouts in PVP) - this usually means a lucky socketed proc on a quest/BFA rare loot trinket, or War Supply Chest/Secret Supply Chest trinkets. The rest of your gear should be Antorus mythic, and if you're 110 you prioritise ilvl, if you're 111 you prioritise sockets.

If you want to make a 119 twink, I'm sorry to say you've missed the train. The Anniversary event is pretty much over, and next expansion will likely be out by the next one, and will probably turn twinking upside-down again with the changes coming up.

What other brackets have quick burst gameplay? Don't want to invest too much time into it.

If you want to play BGs twinked, your only options at the moment are 20s with a lvl 20 on a non-paying account (stronger), or on a free account (weaker), or 110 on a non-BFA account. Since XP ON and XP OFF are split into their own queues, there's no games happening for XP OFF toons anywhere else afaik.

Fastest to make is a lvl 20, but I personally find it very boring and you'll end up fighting resto druid and resto shaman twinks a lot which are impossible to take down solo.

TL;DR: You want to play BGs - lvl 20 or lvl 110, on the correct type of account.
You want to WPvP - 111 is slightly stronger than 110, and depending on your class you can take down most 120s with ease (at least until next patch).

at 120 you can partysync into 111-119 and you get a template at 284. az gear procs work, consumables can be used but enchants/gems/trinket on use do not.

you can partysync at any level but the most advantageous is in 111-119.

To piggyback on this thread, would it be better to make a Havoc or Vengeance 111 for wPVP? Havoc looks more fun for farming PVE. Thanks.

I would say Havoc. You'll lack the dps as Vengeance. Then again, I don't have a DH twink so I don't know how much better the self-sustain of Vengeance is vs Havoc (if at all) at this level. A smart Havoc WPvP twink will always fight near adds they can oneshot for free selfheal orbs, so survivability outside Meta leech shouldn't be an issue (and if possible near ledges to escape via Glide).
