clikers

what is the best way to play as a twink?

using mouse? buttons? what?

I once uploaded a movie on utub twink 29 vs 70... and i recived a lot of stupid coments saying that i was a clicker and a noob

i actually don't use the mouse at all... when i played twink i didn't even had a mouse because i was playing on a laptop with a pad... not a mouse so i was playing with keys --- a LOT (this is how i discovered how to pwn any rogue :p)

but my laptop burned because of wow and i went pc... i was just accomodating with stupid pc keyboard and mouse when i made that video...

You can be more efficient with your movement if you use your mouse to turn (hold down right button on mouse).

A lot of people have the ability to bind a couple spells/abilities to their mouse that have about 6-7 buttons which makes it easier so they don't have to use a mouse to click spells.

I never saw the reason clickers get so much hate, you probably won't believe this...but im half clicker.

I have a wierd co-ordination between the mouse, a few key binds, and then some clicking.

I prefer to have a mix of both...it just feels better than being 100% of either.

edit: if your wondering how I move...its acctually entertaining, depending on the situtation and where my hands are being used...i use wasd, arrow keys, or mouse..depending on the scenario.

I'm exactly the same way.

When it became known that I was a clicker, someone with a dodge rogue decided to be an asshat about it on the thread that the screenshot that proved I was a clicker was on.

I love Karma because not 10 minutes later we were put into the same WSG and I wiped the floor with him... in a pure melee encounter (SV Hunter back when Deterence was the 11 point talent and Melee autoattack timer wasn't triggered by Autoshots, so Savage Strikes was a worthy talent).

hunters are very easy to play, i played with like 5 keybinds and i had crap for gear and was noted one of the better ones.

conrose if you were in melee with a dodge rogue, that's your fault. you really should be able to kite him...i mean if you beat him while you were in melee the whole time, then it's your class that's carrying you : /

The rest of the game was more or less a rout (our 7 twinks vs their 2 twinks and 8 lowbies), so I decided to do it partly out of boredom, and partly out of spite for the guy. To fight him, I made use of jumping through him to get a swing through the rear arc (Where players can't dodge/parry attacks from) and turning auto-attack on at that moment, after the attack, turn auto-attack off. Raptor Strike when it was off cooldown. A modified approach compared to what I did with my own rogue main vs Rogues who pop evasion. I turn off auto attack with my hunter due to the use of a 2h with a 2.9 second swing timer.

It did shut him up about my clicking habit though, so mission accomplished!

ah ok it just sounded like you tried to beat the crap out of him in full melee style with no strategy cause i've seen alot of clicking 29 hunters beat rogues in melee lol

When I know the crucial flaw of a rogue's damage mitigation, of course I'm going to exploit it to it's fullest! More or less had to since before feints epic buff + Scattershot, dodge rogues that knew me usually jumped me while me traps were on cooldown so I had to get off alot of wingclips through the rear arc to get the IWC proc.

This was just an isolated instance of "You do know of course that THIS means War."

Druid wtf does being a hunter have any thing to do with it? in ALL the classes I play, which is all of them btw, I have every class....either twinked or 70-80. I can play it better and more efficantly than 95% of the entire population..the few 5% being those that only play on that toon or a very select number of classes.

I see no benefit in keybinding every thing, in my personal case it would slow me down rather than doing good and speeding up processes, Im a BIG BIG believer in choice, go with what feels right to you.

it's just my general thought of 29 hunters being 95% retards. sorry :p

keybinding everything will allow you to move with your mouse all of the time, while 1/2 clicking 1/2 keybinding, which may be comfortable, and it is what i do too, is not as good for movement.

i hate having to click on remove curse on my mage/druid when my hand is off my keybinds...can get frustrating...but i'm lazy so i live with it. w/e.

trust me, most of that 5% that outplays you are probably balls to the wall keybinders.

my question to you is...can you keep your front towards the target most of the time while moving away from them, and at the same time being able to use every single ability you have on them?

Interesting thoughs ;)

the anwser is yes yes and...yes.

Most of any class uses a max of 9 spells mainly at any level, less at lower lvls.

I can attack fine while moving away from the target, or using 1 of my several sneaky combos to bounce around them, im more of a ....imme jump/circle around you in a 15-45 yard radius, than a run while shooting type of deal..although il do both, generally if im holding the flag.

Yes i can also do the 360 jump spin shoot move, it looks bad ass if my NE flips while doing it....she like rotates upside down, while her arms are extended/body in a ball, then flipping around in a cheerleader type move thing.

strife......strife.........strife ;)

espcially at 29 you dont need nearly as many key binds...my shots/melee moves are on 1234567890-=. Then the few key binds I have set up are traps, pet attack/passive/defend. So excluding the regular wow set up, i have 6 key binds..not alot compared to my 60 something abilitys.

keep pet on passive, the really good hunters control all of their pet's movement. use their CDs accordingly.

oh and it's strafe :p

Psh lies.

I keep my pet on defensive a majority of the time, but with the change to pets work with your attacks, any time I shoot some one, if my pet isn't doing any thing, it will auto attack my target...this can be a blessing or a burden.

It is nice that they gave more control over pets now though, pets won't break CC, but they will sit there waiting for it to break. I keep all 3 on my bar increase I need to switch targets really quick.

Owls can disarm..so il be killing a healer, but switch over to a rogue/warrior to disarm them real quick, then go back to the healer..without any time lost in the dps.

I also keep my pets claw off auto attack, so I am free to use it as a spammable burst combined with my attacks.

no, really, the best hunters control their pets completely. it's what makes them really freakin good.

they are really rare though, a wsg with a hunter that controls their pet really well is like having a shadowfang drop on an SFK run

You saying im not up there with the best?? o_O

You can controll your pet with giving it some freedom, if its on passive you could lose some time in movement and ranges.

If its on defensive and you tell it to attack a target..it will go back to the first target after the second target is dead if they are still alive. While if it was on passive, they will come back to you..possiablly wasting focus, time, dps, etc.

if you have your pet on defensive or aggresive, then yes. or at least not with like the top 0.001% lol

the best hunters are able to target and attack targets. they keep full control of their pets. they notice enemy health bars. it just takes lots of practice.
