Classic TWing is back, now is a good time to quickly gear for TWing in general (For AGI and STR classes)

As a quick reminder that your character's MAIN-STAT will buff TWing mob's health and damage once you go past around +22 stat (at level 11), so you want as little of your main stat as possible. There's a plateau where around +12-22 stat will not increase enemy health, so going +0 main stat won't benefit you that much. Additionally you can go up to around +35 stat before the health and damage gains by mobs becomes steep.

That said if you have the TWing badges, you can head over to Bobadormu and buy gear that doesn't have your main-stat. This is probably the best way to get off-stat gear for solo players. Gemmed up TBC gear is going to give you around +10-16 secondary stats, while Bob's gear will give you +6-12 secondary but more armor and stamina.

The slots he covers will be for helm, bracer, boots, rings, and weapons.

Keep an eye out for what greens drop as well, as some classic drops like https://www.wowhead.com/item=7113/mistscape-armor have no main-stat at all.

Check out the plate wrists from the timewalking vendor too, they seem to be ilvl 54 with just 1 less str compared to the ilvl 60 drops.

Now if i could get Rockslicer to drop, that would be awesome, 30 tw runs, 8 deadmines, in 5 of them it dropped for someone else :/
In other news, Sul'thraze proc is pretty bad, it happens often but doesn't do all that much in terms of damage.

Dropping 25 str worked wonders for both my damage and my survivability by the way, as i never get oneshot now and bosses seem to have like 2-5k less health.
I'm still at 83(+48) str, but it seems like good enough without gimping my entire set(30% crit, 33% haste, 7% vers).
 
Quick addition for any of you 11 fury twinks out there on F2P accounts, Classic TW week is *THE* time to farm living essence for your Lifestealing enchants, I've gone to every possible open-world location on my 11, and the loot table is reduced depending on your level - in other words, living essence don't drop, and you aren't high enough level to enter any of the dungeons where it drops. Essence of Undeath can be farmed open world still on 11's, so LE is the crucial component needed that's otherwise impossible to get on a free account.

Farming DM, ideally warpwood quarter, is the way to go to quickly grab up those babies!
 
Did anyone get Rockslicer on a 11 warrior this week?

I've seen it drop more than half the time from the first boss but never for me, always for someone else that can use 2-handers.

It's so weird, I got almost every single loot there is in all instances, including 1H weapons(with an Arms loot spec!), both mounts from strat and a cloth item from the postmaster, but no Rockslicer :/

Sorry, sounds like bad luck. I farmed two of them this week, so there's hope!

Edit: If you have the gear to solo the boss, I recommend speed-farming the instance.
This may require 2 accounts, only one needs to be paid
Quick TLDR for anyone unfamiliar:
1. Clear the TW instance you want to farm with your twink
2. Log out for 10mins or more
3. Log back in on the twink, who will now be alone in a reset instance of the TW dungeon
4. Log into your other account's character, who will stay parked in a city or something
5. Have one character invite the other
6. Give your non-twink lead, if they don't already have it
7. Clear as far as you want on your twink, then log out
8. Reset the dungeon with your non-twink as soon as twink is offline
9. Log back in on twink

repeat steps 7-9 as needed. The 10 minute wait is only for the very first time.

Thanks for letting me know, i guess I'll keep farming...there's always the chance i get charmed on Stratholme and destroy the whole party, so i got that to look forward to i guess ;p

TW instances will reset under these two conditions.

1) If you logout and the party disbands.
2) If you logout for 30 minutes.

So if you LFG into the instance you want, upon finishing it you can logout and wait a minute for everyone else in the group to leave; and when you log back in it will be a new instance. After that point you'll need to logout of that character for at least 30 minutes for it to reset again.

This value is somewhere inbetween 10-20 minutes atm, had some fun in lazy legion grind with freezing toys.
Btw it was quite fun, freeze in NL sometimes push you as a goren cannonball back to the entrance, you could even tell if you had a "good" or "bad" state on login. Later i found you can just relog before unfreezing to get the things fixed.
And freezing in CoS just was pointless - you had to kill 1st boss to trigger 2nd leutenants to open the door to 3rd.
 
I'm up to 19 runs, 11 solo, still no rockslicer...i must be cursed or something...this is like last week all over when i did close to 100 random runs for either a 2-hander or boots without mastery and got 0 drops ;p

Loot spec is set to Arms...i even tried a couple of runs with Fury just in case, but no go.
 
That sucks, i highly doubt blizzard hotfixed rockslicer dropping for warriors just to put a very small niche of players at a slight disadvantage though. Bound to drop sometime if you keep at it!
