Class Changes:



Shaman



  • Primal Strike - Primal Strike is a new weapon-based attack that every shaman will learn very early in the game. Our goal with this ability is to make leveling as Enhancement rather than as Elemental more viable, since many key Enhancement talents become available at fairly high levels.


  • Healing Wave - While the shaman already has an ability called Healing Wave, we're adding another spell to the class's direct-healing arsenal and giving it a familiar name. The current Healing Wave will be renamed Greater Healing Wave, and the intent is for the 'new" Healing Wave to be the shaman's go-to heal. Lesser Healing Wave and Greater Healing Wave will be used on a more situational basis.


  • Restoration shaman and other healing classes will need to pay attention to mana more than they've had to during Wrath of the Lich King. Spirit will be the Restoration shaman's primary mana-regeneration stat.


  • Totem of Wrath now will replace Flametongue Totem for all shaman, and dropping this totem will buff the group's spell power by 4%. Elemental shaman will have a talent that lets all Fire totems provide +10% spell power, allowing them to drop Searing, Magma, or Fire Elemental Totems without losing their spell-damage buff. The 4% and 10% buffs will be exclusive with each other and with the warlock's Demonic Pact, so you can't benefit from all of them at once. We're also considering letting Elemental drop Searing Totem at range.

Level 18: Earthbind Totem

Summons an Earthbind Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 45 sec that slows the movement speed of enemies within 10 yards. 5% of base mana, Instant cast, 15 sec cooldown



Level 18: Cleanse Spirit

Removes one Curse ( Improved Cleanse Spirit : and one harmful Magic ) effect from a friendly target. 14% of base mana, 40 yd range, Instant cast



Level 16: Wind Shear

Instantly blasts the target with a gust of wind, causing no damage but interrupting spellcasting and preventing any spell in that school from being cast for 2 sec. Also lowers your threat, making the enemy less likely to attack you. 8% of base mana, 25 yd range, Instant cast, 6 sec cooldown



level 15: Ghost Wolf

Turns the Shaman into a Ghost Wolf, increasing speed by 40% ( Glyph of Ghost Wolf : and regenerating 1% of your maximum health every 5 sec ). As a Ghost Wolf, the Shaman is less hindered by effects that would reduce movement speed. 6% of base mana, 2 sec cast



Level 14: Flame Shock

Instantly sears the target with fire, causing 21 Fire damage immediately and 42 Fire damage over 18 sec. This periodic damage may critically strike and will occur more rapidly based on the caster's spell haste. 17% of base mana, 25 yd range, Instant cast, 6 sec cooldown



Level 12: Ancestral Spirit

Returns the spirit to the body, restoring a dead target to life with 35% of maximum health and mana. Cannot be cast when in combat. 72% of base mana, 30 yd range, 10 sec cast



Level 12: Purge

Purges the enemy target, removing 2 beneficial magic effects. 14% of base mana, 30 yd range, Instant cast



Level 12: Flametongue Totem

Summons a Flametongue Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster. The totem increases the spell power of all party and raid members within 30 yards by 6%. Lasts 5 min. 11% of base mana, Instant cast



Level 10: Searing Totem

Summons a Searing Totem with 5 health at your feet for 1 min that repeatedly attacks an enemy within 20 yards for 9 to 11 Fire damage. 7% of base mana, Instant cast



Level 10: Flametongue Weapon

Imbue the Shaman's weapon with fire, increasing total spell damage by 7 ( Glyph of Flametongue Weapon : and increasing spell critical strike chance by 2% ). Each hit causes 4.23 to 13.04 additional Fire damage, based on the speed of the weapon. Slower weapons cause more fire damage per swing. Lasts 30 minutes. 6% of base mana, Instant cast



Level 8: Lightning Shield

The caster is surrounded by 3 balls of lightning. When a spell, melee or ranged attack hits the caster, the attacker will be struck for 13 Nature damage. This expends one lightning ball. Only one ball will fire every few seconds. Lasts 10 min. Only one Elemental Shield can be active on the Shaman at any one time. Instant



Level 7: Healing Wave

Heals a friendly target for 34 to 44. 6% of base mana, 40 yd range, 3 sec cast



Level 5: Earth Shock

Instantly shocks the target with concussive force, causing 17 to 19 Nature damage and reducing melee attack speed by 20% for 8 sec. 18% of base mana, 25 yd range, Instant cast, 6 sec cooldown



Level 4: Strength of Earth Totem

Summons a Strength of Earth Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster. The totem increases the strength and agility of all party and raid members within 30 yards by 10. Lasts 5 min.

10% of base mana, Instant cast



Level 3: Primal Strike

An instant weapon strike that causes 10 additional damage. 8% of base mana, 5 yd range, Instant cast, 8 sec cooldown



Level 1: Lightning Bolt

Casts a bolt of lightning at the target for 13 to 15 Nature damage. 6% of base mana, 30 yd range, 2.5 sec cast



Spells getting removed:



Level 75: Rockbiter Weapon

Imbue the Shaman's weapon with the fury of the earth, increasing all threat generation by 30% and reducing damage taken by 5%. Lasts 30 minutes. 8% of base mana, Instant cast



Level 58: Stoneclaw Totem

Summons a Stoneclaw Totem with 50 health at the feet of the caster for 15 sec that taunts creatures within 8 yards to attack it. Enemies attacking the Stoneclaw Totem have a 50% chance to be stunned for 3 sec. Stoneclaw totem also protects all your totems, causing them to absorb 21 damage. 6% of base mana, Instant cast, 30 sec cooldown



Level 52: Tremor Totem

Summons a Tremor Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster that shakes the ground around it, removing Fear, Charm and Sleep effects from party members within 30 yards. Lasts 5 min.

2% of base mana, Instant cast



Level 48: Stoneskin Totem

Summons a Stoneskin Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster. The totem protects party and raid members within 30 yards, increasing armor by 95. Lasts 5 min. 10% of base mana, Instant cast



Level 28: Fire Nova

Causes the shaman's active Flametongue, Magma, or Fire Elemental totem to emit a wave of flames, inflicting 48 to 56 Fire damage to enemies within 10 yards of the totem. 22% of base mana, 30 yd range, Instant cast, 10 sec cooldown
 
No more tremor , fire nova or stoneclaw shield?

I was worried they were gonna get buffed with the new strike
 
looks like a nerf for the hamans OPness but with a new heal they will be able to put out some sick heals?
