Carrying the flag.

Aside from the obvious preference of having a nice 24 carry the flag for your team, which class/spec do you get most excited to see if it's a F2P running the flag for your team?

Rdruids with jump experience and geared Holy or Prot palas.

^ and experienced Rsham

Good holy paladin/good resto druid.

Katemiddlton, 3rd best flag carrier in the free to play bracket at your service.

Any flag carrier is capable of holding the flag.

Even when solo queing, Rdruid seems to be a very viable FC for this bracket. Of course it's pretty much impossible if 24s are camping their flag room(solo queing that is)
Holy Paladins are PuG Premading Gods for FCing. They are more user-friendly to newer FCs.
Prot Warriors/Paladins would be good for Premading, tho I wouldn't PuG FC with them.

Anyone who has good experience using the terrain jumps in WSG can become a decent FC, even a warlock could be a good FC.

Even as Mage, if you know how to manoeuvre through the field, you'll still be a decent FC.

Resto shams have a lot going for them with armor, earth shield, and ghost wolf with minimum 100% runspeed. If you're willing to use a swiftness pot and your trinket, you can even get away from hunters.

Still, resto druids outclass them solo, as do prot paladins when escorted.

Here is my personal breakdown for who i'd rather see carrying the flag:

1. Dedicated FC from AP that I've either seen play or know about their reputation
2. Player from AP, preferably paladin or druid that I've played with before and know won't screw around
3. Me. I do carry from time to time. My little white wolf does have a knack for running away from alliance hunters.
4. A pug that I've played with before or seen FC. Special preference for someone geared to FC but anyone who isn't and idiot is fine
5. The first person that grabs the flag. Sometimes the horde team is so good anyone can FC.
6. Random idiots that either sprint/speed pot away or just run straight into the opposing zerg. I hate these people.

I'd like to add a funny story relevant to this thread. There is a group of friends who play on Bloodhoof and regularly invite me to join. One of their regular flag carriers is a 24 holy paladin with 3K health.

Anyway, last night me and 2 other dps'ers were escorting him towards our tunnel when we were intercepted by 7 or 8 of their players. Expecting a quick kill, they focused totally on the fc and ignored us dps'ers for at least 30 seconds. They didn't turn on us until at least 2 or 3 of them were dead. After that began an epic 2-3 minute battle with our fc healing the dps'ers while we finished them off. It was wild and tense at the same time. I think our fc was the only man left standing.

ANYWAY..
as we are going back for the second flag, some undergeared warlock with 550 health nabs it first, gets the speed buff in their tunnel and sprints straight down midfield untouched, with one ally druid desperately trying to catch him before we finished him off. We had no idea where their team was, but we were praying that we could catch up to him before he was one-shotted by a hunter.

TL;DR -- first cap: long, epic battle with our 3K health fc resulting in 7-8 of their team getting wiped out. 2nd cap: 550 health newbie sprints down and caps untouched.

It's unexpected games like that which make WSG so much fun.
