Breaking rogue out of stealth by pet

as you know, if the hunter sends the pet in before the rogue stealths it will break the rogue out of stealth.
so i sent my pet to rogue when i need to keep my hunter's mark on another rogue
however, while doing some BGs at 20-29, i found that if the rogue runs away from the pet, sometimes my pet fail to break the rogue out of stealth. pet moves a bit, stops for a moment, moves again, stops again, and so on... it seems like approaching to the rogue, trying to attack, rogue running out of melee attack range, approaching again,...

few days ago, i leveled my toon above 30, learned dash(dive)-pet ability and joined 30-39 BGs.
so far, my pet with speed buff like dash(dive) never fail to break rogue out of stealth even if the rogue runs away from the pet.
is this confirmed game mechanic? i wonder other rouges and hunters also experienced this.
if this is true, i think boars have disadvantage bc charge and dash share cooldown.

second question:
it seems that pet can only do melee attack to rogue in stealth, can't use ranged ability like charge or lightning breath. is this true too?

sorry for my english

Your Boar logic doesn't add up. Explain how having the choice to either Charge or Dash is a disadvantage over just Dash?

1. to use both, need additional 15 training points
2. if you use dash to break rogue out of stealth, you can't use charge next 25 sec

ofc i don't think its huge disadvantage.

btw, as a hunter, you also experienced above two things in my question?

You don't need more points, it's worth downgrading a resist for both. Your reply again points out that they share a cool down, but the fact is that having both as a option is better than only Dash.

But it's true, unless your target is marked, your pet won't use any powers on a stealther.

thx so question #2 is confirmed.
how about #1?
breaking stealth:
1. without dash(dive), sometimes fail by target's movement.
2. with dash(dive), always succeed .

It's happened so rarely that I'm not even sure anyone has ever gotten away completely. I have seen my pet stutter when it tries to auto attack and someone moves out of range before it goes off. Dash may not even help that in every case though.

Rogue would need to really out range the hunter and make the pet despawn, it's broken as fuck can't wait to get my hunter into 39s but having alot of fun at 29 on him even with avg gear
