Blade of Eternal Darkness proc?

It's similar, almost identical to the Undead's Touch of the Grave in proc chance, damage and scaling. The only difference is that it doesn't have an ICD, from what I've experienced it can proc back to back.
It deals shadow damage and shows up as 'shadow bolt' on your details/recount.
It scales with your spellpower and it is also affected by versatility.
It can crit. It can proc from dots and channelled spells.
Over a long fight it probably contributes to around 2-4% of my total damage.
This is all from my character in the 60 bracket. May not be the same for 39's.
