BiS Feral Druid

There's no true BiS, depends several variables as well as what you're aiming for damage wise (burst / sustain / a little more survivability etc) but here's stuff to get you started -

Stained Shadowcraft Cap
Scout's Medallion
Shadowfang Spaulders / Stained Shadowcraft Spaulders
Tumultuous Cloak of the Bandit (+8 dodge/+8 agi)
Stained Shadowcraft Tunic / Gloomshroud Armor / Azure Scale Vest one or two others; I forgot (+4 stats)
Black Wolf Bracers (9 stam)
Wild Rider's Gloves / Gloves of the Fang / Foreman's Gloves (+15 agi)
Vigorous Belt of the Bandit
Smelting Pants (whatever armor kit)
Feet of the Lynx / Cobrahn's Boots (+7 agi)
Signet of Argas / Legionnaire's Band / Ello's Band
Inherited Insignia / Arena Grand Master / Swift Hand of Justice
Burnished Warden Staff (+25 agi)

225 herbalism/skinning for max damage

there's other gear obviously, some of it's really new, really old, or uncommonly used.. you should be able to come up with something pretty good out of this.

There ya go. You were missing out on +15 fire resist which will be good for a few more days till MoP comes then kiss resists goodbye.

actually there are many ways to build a feral, hit cap was reduced so wearing 3-5 items with hit is pointless, BIS is a matter of opinion it seems since no 2 i have seen are the same. gloomshroud chest is not even reasonably obtainable as they do not drop, rare chance you chance a old player returning to WOW with this in players bags

this is not my feral, mine is alliance and has GF'd Tunic of Westfall - Item - World of Warcraft

Level 19 Tauren Druid | WoW World of Warcraft Armory Profiles | Masked Armory

masked armory is showing some enchants wrong, but you get the idea

I'd use dual argas instead, and swap resil shoulders to hit ones for cap. Also, change weapon to feral mace. Other than that, looks BiS.

Also, change weapon to feral mace.

I dont play feral on my druid anymore, but can you explain how the mace is better than the staff? (Please note I havent even specced feral since 5.0.whatever) Just I thought the wep speeds are normalised in cat form so surely top end and stats are the only things that should be taken into consideration.
Excuse my ignorance if this is a stupid question btw

The DPS to your cat/bear form attack is directly proportional to weapon DPS. That means weapon speed, top-end, high-end don't have anything to do with feral damage. All you have to look after for a good weapon choise is DPS and stats. Mace obv has 15 fire resist more, so it makes it the best choise for a feral :)

I've been wondering the same, recently came up with this as a combo of Inevitabull and another druid that's been kicking my ass all over WSG, I forgot his name though.

Rareform @ Kael'thas - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Besides missing the weapon enchant (farming mats now, ugh) and AGM, does this look like a solid feral setup? Completely new to druid, never played one before.

edit: and getting the satchel reward belt and cloak, which completely elude me all the time

Yeah looks pretty good so far, if you want you can get some more crit instead of agility but you'll be fine either way.

Nemmäkisem @ Draenor - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Here's also something that I scratched together fast on my new allidrud :) Switch rings to argas and shoulders to PvE, and chest to Azure scale vest if horde (or gloomshroud obv) and should be pretty close to BiS. I unfortunately only have caster argas, so ello + pvp ring are a somewhat viable alternative.

Yeah, looks pretty similar to what I have set up. I don't have access to Ello's or a second Argas because I'm not going to faction switch. Is Azure Scale Vest or Hide Vest of the Shaman better than heirloom chest for a feral setup? And is the staff I'm using as good as the Lava Dredger, or should I return the staff and get the other? If so, why? Totally new to ferals, sorry for all the stupid questions, you seem knowledgeable on droods :)

Yes, I would say Azure or hide vest are better than the BoA chest, seeing as you get hitcap from necessary items easily anyways (boa hat= +4, and that +2 hit you can get from pretty much anywhere. PvE shoulders would be my choice). So, if you don't feel like stacking stam or going for +1 agi, go with either of the non-boa chests. Azure has better offensive stats so go with that since you're horde.

Staff and mace only have 1 difference: mace has +15 fire resist, staff doesn't. But seeing as MoP is out like tomorrow and resists should be removed altogether with the patch, it doesn't really matter which one you pick. Mace looks cooler though ;)

one of the horde druids i inspected was using PVP ring and Stillwater's Signet - Item - World of Warcraft, seemed to work well also

right now horde side needs argas ring quest fixed

dual argas rings imo are not shadowfangs like that on a rogue and automaticly BIS. there are many ways to do a feral, they are not as cookie cutter as some classes

Thanks for the replies everyone, been looking at enough druid ideas tonight to get enough knowledge on what I need to get for gear :)

Now do any of you have any awesome powershift macros or any sort of macros that will help shapeshifting at all? My binds/macros for shapeshifting are sluggish, but I don't know anything better yet.

This is the armory I usually go with:

Inevitabull @ Windrunner - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Totally depends on what kind of a player you are though--I like going ap heavy because it suits my playstyle best. Missing double argas but there's nothing I can do about it, only miss out on a little bit of crit/dodge and 1 stm, no biggie.

This is probably what you're looking for Gliiese:

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] !Bear Form
/cast [stance:2] !Aquatic Form
/cast [stance:3][indoors] !Cat Form
/cast [stance:4][] !Travel Form
