Best hunter pvp spec

Hello, just about to level a hunter to 70, and i wonder which spec is best for pvp, an armory for the spec would be nice to!

MM is the way to go. But honestly I'd not suggest lvling a hunter, it's probably the worst lvl 70 class. Your only defensive cooldown is disengage, you don't have aspect of fox. If you're planning to play solo it's going to hell. Hunters might have good burst, but in arena you'll pretty much never get chance to cast Aimed Shot.

Soon there will be tons of "Go Hunter, this bracket doesn't need any more mages/rogues" replies. Don't listen to those. Atlaest pick some half-decent class. But if you insist on lvling Hunter, well... you've been warned.

i dont have an easy way to say this as i know most people are obsessed with MM. BUT at 70 (i have played MM-holy pri to 2k rating) but i still must say that i think survival is better. i know at first you will be thinking "scrub doesent know what hes on about" but i belive it is better as you can continue a burst long past the first aimed+ chimera which takes all your focus.

in survival you can get the lock and load proc from placing a trap on healer, POP synapse/trink, explosive shot, arcane shot, explosive, arcane, arcane and that will do plenty of damage.

i´d say BM for 2s, MM for 3s, BM has better survivability with trinket an extra trinket on 1min cd but MM better all around with readiness and silencing shot, and it stacks good with rogues because of 20% ap buff, im gonna try out thugcleave on my hunter in a couple of weeks.

pet abandonment script is extremely important especially for mm since monkeys doesnt have ROS for mm, i use 2 monkeys and 2 scorpions

BM in 2v2, play with a restokin.

MM in 3v3. mm/slsl/restokin. huge pressure with both mana and dmg. always cc a dps and burn the mana.

If not the druid can go 5/11/45 as in full resto.
If u want restokin its 21/0/40

vipersting healer, Lock he's poison dispell. but presure and target switch alot. stay open and prioritise mage/warlock

Wait.. what year is this?

But honestly I'd not suggest lvling a hunter, it's probably the worst lvl 70 class

Well, That's just downright depressing.

A'ight, As for an overall hunter spec, You'll probably want to go for Marksman, Beast mastery can work, But as it is reliant on the pet for damage, and that the pet must sacrifice some of it's largers talents, ie; Wild Hunt, To pick up RoS, Not to mention it relys on the pet being within melee range of the target, Aswell as if your pet ever dies, You are entirely useless until you can resurrect it.

As for basic specs,

Battleground Marks 1; Talent Calculator - Game Guide - World of Warcraft
Battleground Marks 2; Talent Calculator - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

^ Notes: Spec 1 Is better suited for those who actually send their pet in, Whereas i prefer spec 2, Which includes 2/2 Rapid killing. Whereas Termination isn't insanely helpful, It'd be better suited if you prefer to keep your Crab/Scorpid near you, For RoS, Pin, Disarm, Or what have you.

Arena Marks 1; Talent Calculator - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

^ Notes: Essentially what you'll be wanting for arena, Where Rapid killing is nearly useless, You can swap out the point in termination for 1/2 "Resistance is futile", But that's more personal preference, Can aid in burst, if correctly setup when going for a kill. Can also switch out glyph of silencing shot with Glyph of trap launcher, if it would suit.

--Beast Mastery--

This specialization tends to be sub-par to Marks, Primarily due to reliance on pet being within range of targets to be able to pump out as much pressure as possible, Suffers from lack of silencing shot, Readiness, Substantial long-ranged burst, Not to mention the lack of a bleed, And a shorter Personal Bloodlust (Rapid fire/RF) Cooldown.

When it comes to Beast Mastery, there are a rather limited number of others when it comes to talents, The suggested spec is below, The three options you've got are 8% Bonus speed inside Pack/Cheetah, Useless, outside of Firelands Trash farming. Improved mend pet, Tends to be lackluster, if not useless. Dispels on your pet should be on your healer/partner's list of priorities, Your pet dies, Chances are you are soon to follow, lack of support, damage, etc. Final option being Killing streak, Small damage buff on Kill command, Which is sub-par to other talents, Even with inflated amounts of Critical %.

--Pets--

If you've read this far, I'll assume you know about how insanely squishy we hunters are, Especially in this bracket, And need all the survival we can get.

--Marksmanship/Survival Pets--

Defensive Tenacity; Pet Calculator - Game Guide - World of Warcraft Built for mobility and survival.
Offensive Tenacity; Pet Calculator - Game Guide - World of Warcraft Built for mobility and damage.

^ Notes: The above is more personal choice, The damage your pet gains from going "Offensive" doesn't necessarily outweigh the benefits of the increased health/healing on your pet, But if you don't have issues with your pet dying, Or you, Due to lack of pet passively sitting next to you, for disarm/pin, Why not.

I didn't setup talent trees for Cunning pets, And definitely not Ferocity pets, The latter of which should never be used, Outside of summoning, Having them use their raid-wide buff, ie; Cat agility/strength roar, And dismissing. And cunning lacks access to Roar of Sacrifice, For marksmanship/Survival, Whereas Beast mastery has access to it.

-Beast Mastery Pets--

As above, The choice remains between Cunning, and Ferocity. Cunning puts out more damage, Has more mobility, Has some situational abilities such as Cornered - Spell - World of Warcraft, Which can be invaluable, But the downfall comes when being unable to get both Wild hunt AND Roar of sacrifice, So you'll either lose a large chunk of damage, Or a huge defensive cooldown, for you, or your partner(s).

Whereas Tenacity has more pet survival, mainly due to 40% extra healing done to pet, via Blood of the rhino. The largest benefit of opting for Tenacity over cunning is the ability to pick up *BOTH Wild hunt, And Roar of sacrifice.

^ Notes: Offensive 1, Feel free to switch the point(s) from Cornered out with Feeding frenzy, or Mobility, if you prefer.
Notes: Defensive 1; One point free, Proffered location being Serpent swiftness, Feeding frenzy, Mobility, Or Wolverine bite.

^ Notes: Due to rather piddly health pools, Don't touch Silverback.

Will edit more if anything else comes to mind.
