Best class/easiest gear farm @ 59?

Im considering making a 59 twink.
Not much into dungeons, so.. Which class can buy/craft the most of their gear and still be good? Basically looking to farm most gear of AH... Looking to dps for the most part.

Rogue/hunter isn’t too bad. Given the huge range of gear options not sure how good an answer you will get.

My 59 mage is largely AH and crafted gear and does well.

You can build a pretty large gear advantage over your average 50-59 through just the AH with almost any class. To truly "twink" a character, youd need to spend considerable time and money to get through content up to and including ZG.

My vote is for whatever you'd like to play. After that, Beercan's right - Mage Lock and Spriest would all be up there due to the large number of crafted items and earlier level epics that are effectively pbis (staff of jordan / underworld band / etc)

Thanks for your feedback. How would you rate classes at 59 with my criteria in mind? Who are top dogs at 59?

Anyone is a top dog at 59. Lots of rogues so I’d go anything but that.

Think of it like 60 though. Who do you fear there?

For me, SPs or a skilled Lock wreck anyone, but anything is viable.

Never PvPed at 60 in classic, only have vague memories from vanilla.

Spriest was actually my initial plan, so it’s good to hear that they can wreck. But how is the matchup for spriest vs the many aforementioned rogues?

From what I have seen not a huge problem in Shadowform. If you can fake a cast or two even better. SPs are pretty tough to take down. Easier horde side obviously since you won’t have to contend with undead rogues.

Again, with engineering and decent play anything (save a few meme specs) really is viable.

Spriest probably one of the more difficult to gear I would imagine if you're going all out 59 twink.
