Best bang for the buck?

LVL 20 on a F2P account, what's the best bang for the buck content wise? What expansion content should i be doing and what content will get me the best gear if my plan is just staying F2P?

With the release of dragonflight i heard most stuff is outdated, for example I just got my artifact weapon from a quest but i'm told i cannot get the relics to power it up. Also should I be queueing for dungeons and pvp?

Shadowlands is pretty good for gold but a pain in the ass to navigate without flying

Don't worry about the non-quest/dungeon items (most aren't good but to sell) and almost all dungeons have some grind to get the right items to proc for your spec/class.

I find Legion the most fun for the Class Hall and doing the Legion Invasions that count as World Quests with a 'Combat Ally"/Bodyguard for the extra order hall resources or gold (With the right equipment) or Legion rep.

Shadowlands Leatherworking for a nice mount equipment that prevents being dazed while mounted.

Tailoring (BFA/Shadowlands) has some easier to make 30/32 slot bags that the Garrison grind.

You can do most of the World Events for extra toys/pets etc. Just not the gear, besides for transmorg pieces.
