Best 20 FC class

Either resto druid for heals+travel form or holy/prot pala for armor+heals

Would shaman have ghost wolf and would it be able to compete with druids?

Yeah, but not instant form. You should be at least as good as druids, considering they lost snare removal, and your ability to retain 100% movement speed. Shaman FC should be fine, plus you have an AOE snare, sounds fun.

Probably prot/holy pallys, especially considering the gear available. Resto druid FCs may be more viable with the lack of burst in the bracket. If choosing resto druid I would pick NE or tauren for nature resistance against crippling poison.

I always preferred to play a mobile character when FCing, I remember doing premades as a 29 warrior FC and that was fun but for PUGs I always wanted to be a druid/mage because they were so mobile. And 39 paladins were good too because I had 15% MS increase with the 100% MS debuff judgement.

Druids will get shit on if people start running full BoA'd/enchanted 24s, but for the moment they should do quite well.

I'm honestly just worried about the flag debuff and hunters. I consider my playstyle to fit a mobile character rather than a tanky one anyways. If mages had mana shield I would probably play that as an FC too ^^

Paladin -> Druid -> Mage/Warrior -> Shaman

my thoughts.

Shouldn't shaman be rated higher? Good heals, no mana problems, earth shield for extra hps, GW for speed, and a totem for snares. Windshear to stop some cc or clutch heals, and I think a poison dispel for crippling poison. Seems good, unless im reading this backwards i which case, lol Paladins are by far the best.

Ever tried to solo one, no? I didnt think so.

Resto shammy, with ghost wolf, HEALING SURGE, and an aoe snare, and if you go resto you have earth shield.

About gearing shammies, be prepared to switch professions about 4 or 5 times.

Atychiphobia talked a bit about how he had to switch a lot to get the items and chants he needed.

Also, for those thinking multiple specs -- it'll be super difficult to change gear (different quest rewards) and then think about enchanting them.

ProTip: Use Vellums for future pieces.

personally, if your looking to be the main FC who's holding the flag in a stalemate, a prot or holy paladin will suite you the best, but i find myself many times in a day grabbing the flag and getting it across middle quickly.

im unsure it's widely known, but even feral druids and balance druids can powershift out of SLOWS (concussive shot, crippling poison, frost shock, etc) although we cannot shift out of roots(left to resto)

I agree that Paladins, Druids and Shamans are probably the best, but I will add that Hunters are pretty good as well.

Hunters have Concussive Shot, Wing Clip and Scatter Shot to snare those chasing after them, and Disengage to move faster across the map. While Hunters generally make better support class for the FC, they are probably the best class for solo flag running (when your team is too busy farming mid/gy to help the FC).

Also Survival hunters have 15% extra HP, and often I find myself flag running when there aren't any other classes with decent enough HP in the flag room.

Druid > Shaman > Paladin

Nobody has yet mentioned that resto shaman receive 15% more healing than a druid and 9% more than a protadin whilst having strong healing abilities, far stronger than a druid's. They also take 10% less damage while casting. Worth factoring in.
