Avatar wins an EMY!

Yes there's allready a thread for the Avatar movie, but it's about so prementraul noob saying it's like wow. I saw the movie in 3D today, and it is hands down one of the best action/sci-fi movies i have ever seen. The storyline is perfect and is seamlessly put together. There are no filler parts, and the entire movie keeps you on the end of your seat.

Two thumbs up!

ok. 1st. figure out what word you want to use. then spell check it. are you trying to say premature, premenstrual, some combo or neither.

also...no it wont win an emmy*. those are tv awards. could it win an oscar? perhaps. will it? idk, the academy never votes the same way i would.

just from reading about it & hearing from others the whole plot is shit from the beginning. really, just bomb the little fuckers or something...def not going to pay $10+ to see it

what the fuck is this thing about. all i know, is that big macs make you sprout flowers and giant dinosaurs in a park.

So you'd pay 10$+ to see a movie that would be over in a matter of minutes?

If everyone movie followed the logic of "Just nuke the shit out of them!" then every movie would be over in a matter or minutes.

I haven't seen it, but I have heard the plot line is predictable, but that shouldn't take away from the movie at all. Any movie based on a book has a predictable plot and yet movies based on books have been decorated with awards in the past.

nah my point is they never should have made the movie if the plot was that weak. if the whole movie could have been solved by carpet bombing some blue dudes then theres no point to write it.

well this isnt even based on a book so...whats you're point. most movies based on books suck imo (yes even lotr), b/c when i read it i can picture it in my head much better than any movie analog. it just sucks to see good books go to film actually, example: angels and demons.....pretty sure the only thing the book & movie had in common were 4-5 characters and antimatter.

No that's not even an option. It's seeing the blue guys as living creatures, so they try and flush them out without death and murder. But then they get pissed off and atempt to do it anyways. Oh well, the graphics and design deserve 5 stars on their own.

yea they try to relocate them...but then war breaks out anyways. SO they would have been better off just bombing them in the first place to avoid a drawn out war on a foreign planet far from resupplies/back up.

RETARDED PLOT.

fuck the graphic designers i hate this movie and all the hype it's getting.

All the details on the life of the BLUEMEN are pretty crazy.

But if they were to see the future then yes, they would have ended it early. But that would make an even worse movie wouldn't it?

The only thing that annoyed me was the way the blue girl cried.

Like I said, I haven't seen it so I can't try and protect the movie, but there are loads of movies out there where simply pushing the nuke button could have ended the entire movies.

Lets take LotR for example, but instead of me talking about why they didn't just ride a fucking dragon to the volcano, I'll let this clip do the talking:

I know it's not based off a book, my point was that plot lines being predictable shouldn't make you raise up your arms and go "This movie sucks."

And I agree that loads of book movies suck, because the characters always turn out much cooler when I read the book. But that's Hollywood.

they FUCKED eragon SOOOOO bad

The Eragon movie pissed me off. Aswell with the Series of Unfortunate Events. AND OMFG! Ive been beggint them to make a movie for Darren Shans "Cirque Du Freak", and when they do, they cast some fucking ginger.

ahaha so funny you bring that up. christ man....nothing about that movie was right. except names. /shudder. thats just an example of that kid trying to make a quick buck and ride the HP wave of success. i mean props to him, lil bugger wrote the first one when he was like 19 and made a buncha money off that and the next ones (i still havent read the last one), but they clearly rushed the movie too much if it was that big of a flaming shit pile.

& zuty. nice link. ive seen clerks 2 about a million times, as with all the kevin smith movies. but yea, i already said lotr sucks compared to the book (not to say they also couldnt ride a fucking eagle* in the books too, but eh.). my point wasnt that the plot of avatar is too predictable, its just that it sucks. idk what year that is supposed to take place in but ffs just look @ vietnam, iraq, afghan. etc. and see how well drawn out fighting in a foreign land turns out. in the future it should be carpet bomb or gtfo.

Series of Unfortunate Events

double post.

the movies actually werent that bad, i had a harder time reading those stupid fucking books. i mean they were written for 5 year olds. whenever there was a word that a child might not understand, the author went out of his way to define the word. a) the words where never that hard and b) HOLY FUCK LET KIDS LEARN BY USING CONTEXT, CANT HOLD THEIR HANDS FOREVER. that and stupid character things, and how the foster parents were always blind to that one dudes 'devious' schemes...i mean god. i just really didnt like those. i actually forced myself to read like 4-5 before i gave up on that rediculious horseshit....what ever ends up happening tho. there was some big arc involving a secret society, the kids being important, some eye glass or someshit...idk somebody fill me in

Haha idk. Truth be told the best books i would love to get kids to read, and i would read again and again are the Daren Shan Cirque du Freak books. I loved those. Then the Demonata came out and omfg i loved those books, i stoped after i think 5, i need to pick that up again.
