At what point does SL gems become too much healing and should focus on other stats such as crit/haste? currently at 1166 hp / 10 sec healing but this current TW (cata) has 1 shot mechanics that healing at that level is null and void, my goal isn't to speed run through the dungeons, just finish them without leaving a bad rep on a level 11 twink which for those just Speed running are doing quite nicely.

This is where I am at currently: https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/character/us/silvermoon/argille

Get speed to 49%, be it SL gems, enchants, gear with +3 speed procs, whatever combo it takes get it to 49%.
I think most 11 warriors have the healing gem in one of our sockets, but outside of equipping the gem I dont think it matters literally at all how many gems you have, lifestealing is going to do the majority of your healing.
Edit: Your gear is good, dont get me wrong on what Im about to say you have put time in getting your gear, but most of your gear is TW gear which doesnt have sockets so your scenario is tougher because normally you have a lot of playroom around the SL gems

I'm actually confused about SL gems in TWW.

In DF they were like ilvl 87 (?) minimum so you couldn't use them at 10-11. But now that's been removed?

Yet I still see people stacking +Str gems. At least in the 10s Armory I'm not seeing any SL gem builds. At that level what do the SL gems scale to stat-wise? Therea re no +Str SL gems right? It's all +secondary stats right?

And gems like the Straddling Jewel Doublet only give a bonus for SL-specific gems right? Like it's not "SL or later" right?

How much worse is this damage wise than a pure +Str gem build?

I find the sweet spot is 6 to 8 SL gems for the heals, run speed is just a nice bonus. I then have gear to swap for more or less depending on which dungeon it is. Personal preference.

It depends on the content _- and we usually have the threat - more gems if the dungeons has lots of stuns. I find on a big pull the Classic and TBC dungeons have a lot of annoying long or multi stuns. If life steal doesnt proc as you are CC'd you want the SL passive heals to keep you alive.
This is for 10/11.

Making a 30 for Herald of the Titans - so im locked at 23 for the TW gear to be 107 - and the SL gems are a good at 8 so far, made an evoker and have issues pulling threat with the nig spikes in DPS. Think im going to drop it and roll a warrior - probably mechagnome for the cheat death.
