EU+US Artifact path - Enhancement shaman

I have a 110 Shaman and I followed the artifact path on Icy Veins, which goes for Doom Wolves first after taking a slight detour to grab Alpha Wolf. After Doom Wolves you grab just Stormflurry from the left then head down the right side to grab Unleash Doom. I'm not sure if this would be optimal for 101 though.

Yea, I am just not sure taking a detour for Alpha Wolf is useful for me.
I am really hesitating to even try to get 1 golden trait, they don't seem incredible... I usually get around 16 trait on a char.
So I could get 2 golden trait on my shaman. But.... It seems the first traits grouped up (not golden) are really good...

If you are planning to stop at around 16 I would do something akin to this.

Doom wolves is pretty good, each wolf does 100% of your attack power plus 160% of attack power over 4 seconds, and alpha wolves will turn that into AoE. Personally, Unleash doom is bette rthen vortex but you have to be willing to eat utility traits to get to it. If I only had 16 traits I would just make sure to get Stormflurry, and then put my last 3 points into Windsurge.
Out of the early traits, gathering of the maelstrom is pointless (you won't run out of maelstrom) which is why I choose to go towards gathering storms, and once you have stormflurry and a good chunk of haste you will end up with a lot of wind strike proc uptime.
Really, it all comes down to how many traits you plan to get.
