Armor Vellum + Librams?

Does anyone know if it is possible to attach librams to the begining Armor Vellums? Because it would be really nice to cut out the middle man - I need to have a friend farm the mats and THEN attach the libram, but if I can just do it on my main and send the Vellum over...

Just tried with an Arcanum of Focus and Armor Vellums I and II. Got an invalid message.
