I think they nerfbombed all of it, now you gotta /use it.

The mount item is BoE (or Bind on Use, i guess), but the achievement is unlocked by having the item in your inventory.

confirmed: armored bear does not give achiev when you buy it. i assume same goes for the choppa, 10 PM eastern 9/28/09 does not work. and i have seen more ppl with it nova

The only mounts that still give achievements on looting instead of on use are the Swift Brewfest Ram and Swift Brewfest Kodo. Granted, it is on looting only... tried trading it to other eligible party members to pass the achievements around with no luck. (As of 9/27/09)
