Anybody watch the Legend of Korra?

lokah

Legend
If so what did you think of the final episode and the final scene... I'm actually speechless, would love to read about your guys thoughts.

Pretty awesome ending.

I was kinda hoping for some more "avatar state badassery", although the fight with the giant robot was pretty epic. But the way Aang took down the Fire Lord by going full avatar was something I really enjoyed. Seeing something similar would've been awesome.

Overall, the 4th Book was pretty awesome and I think the ending was well done.

Yeah I agree, I was a little surprised how little Korra went into the Avatar state but how the fight ended was pretty cool and noble. I'm so sad to see it go, it's a really great show :(

Yes I loved that show.....I did have a problem with the end villain being a robot

And I feel that asamI and korra had a sort of lesbian relationship at the end.. o_O

I'll never understand why people feel the need to turn the final moment of a children's TV into a gay pride thing. You both realize that the entire show of Avatar (both series) was about personal development, right? That Legend of Korra was about a young girl building friendships with people around her? If you think that last scene was anything more than two really good friends sharing a moment of true friendship... I'm afraid you've missed the entire point of the show.

So.... you don't think that the last scene with both Asami and korra looked like a lesbian scene?

Also the show was also based on more than a girl/boy creating friendships with others... As the creators said....

Wasn't it kinda obvious?? :O

I think the creators confirmed it

"Our intention with the last scene was to make it as clear as possible that yes, Korra and Asami have romantic feelings for each other. The moment where they enter the spirit portal symbolizes their evolution from being friends to being a couple."

they are cute together <3

No, it's not obvious. That's why it doesn't appear as though they are now a couple. Just friends embarking on a journey together.

The creators did what any sane production company would do in 2014 when confronted with their support of progressive ideas: they gave the fans what they wanted to hear. There's a term for that, it's 'fan service.' Rather than cause a shit storm about the final 15 seconds of a cartoon, they toon the opportunity to ensure the fans got what they wanted.

Or they just wanted it to be like that from the very beginning?
I don't understand what's wrong or bad about them being a couple.
If it were meant to just be a journey with friends, it'd be okay. But if the creators themselves are accepting that's how they wanted it to end, why not sticking to what they planned for the characters?
