An 80 Hunt

Hey there, Recently bored with all my other toons Ive decided to lv my 61 hunt, who dinged 60 over 2 years ago and has since been a RAF throw away toon. Leveling from 61 to 70 in CTArms: Eots was pretty fun, had no idea what I was doing but enjoyed it for the most part.

So I plan to twink at 80, atm he has 10 pieces of BoA, gaps filled in by 159 lv70 Epics, but come 80 I want to abort all BoA and go full 80 twink, cata style. Im liking the look of the toon 'Noob', so Ill his gear it my base point as for what Im gonna gun for:

What I know ill change is trinket, because my toon will be Miner/Herbalist. And His boots, cbf with questing + the Tsunami ones will pair up with the shoulders giving a +40 mastery bonus. If anyone wants to shoot me some comments/ideas/thoughts please do.



My hunt is at 70 atm, wandering what the quickest way to get to 80 is, Im thinking questing or perhaps dungeons.



Spec! I want to be BM, no idea why but I love BM haha. I plan to use the bear from grizzly hills because Im nelf, so dual stealth will be sweet.



Its hit cap to 5%~8% yeah, then balance mastery and crit, thats correct?

Level questing, since you have full BOA gear it could been done in a day or two.

and yes im guessing mastery>crit is correct seeing BM mastery is increased pet damage.



instead of rolling in full cata gear, maybe consider try t10 HC 2 parts for the bonus for BM, i dno how good it is, but maybe worth the parts. but losing some cata gear wont hurt if its ICC HC gear, also if your going to pvp wrathful would be a better choice for a hunter then full cata gear aswell
 
I played 80 hunt few months ago got r1 2v2 with disc pri. Don't use t10 bonuses are bad, 4 bonus only good on pve, instead going full cata, use some damn wrathful gear, i had 30% dmg reduction and still was 1-3 shotting if people, if you go MM stack mastery.

Sorry Magnerz, I just came to the 80-85 section hit ctrl f Hunt then went into the 1st thread I saw, had Noob in it haha >.<



With the wrathfull/icc gear, im only 'soft twinking', not locking exp for good. Just wanna gear up and have a smashing time in BGs while leveling to 85.



I wont have alc, any ideas on a 2nd trinket anyone? I will have herb though, ~500 haste for ~20 secs on a 2min CD sounds aright

Wrathful/ICC will probably only last you 80/81. With health scaling and your secondary stats dropping like crazy, you WILL need to start regearing probably after 81/

You're taking Herb over alchemy?
 
not sure what you would use as a 2nd trinket if you dont use alch, the 359 alch trinket is BIS if you are going 80 twink.

80 twinks are fun several sets you can work on, i have 3 sets atm 1) ilvl 308 cata gear, 2) 225 ilvl herald gear (greatness deck is just so OP) and 3) ilvl 274 icc set



prob going to transfer my toon to a server with an 80 guild soon

For level 80 twinking in arenas atleast the best pet to use for BM is the Corehound for the cast speed reduction.
