Hey guys,

As a fishing junky myself I got quite excited when I found out we can now level our fishing from 600 to 800! Before we were only able to level this to 600, because of the level-req for Draenor Fishing. I suppose higher fishing level means easier catches during the Fishing Extraveganza once it's back online again.

Also, there's a new Dalaran Coin-Achievement for the ones that are interested. I got the other one on my 19 mage back in the days and planning to do the same for this one aswell!

Oh yeah, there's now also an item that increases the size of your fishing bobber. It's absolutely huge now.
 
There has been an item that increases the size of your bobber for quite some time. It can be fished up in Darkmoon Faire waters. There are two now.
I got the new Dalaran achievement out of the way as soon as I could before the fountain got too crowded as well as the http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=10596/bigger-fish-to-fry

Going from 600 to 800 won't make a difference for lowbies trying to get get fish in the fishing tournament. It will not allow them the fish any faster or guarantee sure catches any more than 600 fishing will. 600 is already overkill for the zone.
 
I wouldn't exactly call myself a fishing junkie, but I did take the time to level up my fishing in between queues, as well as getting the coin achievement and reaching best friend with Conjurer Margoss. It's a decent way to pass the time.
