Advice on a 19 twink?

OG
I've never really twinked heavily and haven't done so at all for well over a year now. Now I'm bored and looking to come back to WoW specifically to twink.

I figured I'd run the 19 bracket. But I'm not sure what class to roll. I'm not big on defense, I'd rather do flag carrying or FC support. I don't mind healing but I don't think I'd want to be a dedicated healer, and I'd really rather be more offensive altogether.

Given the current balance of things in 3.1, what should I roll?

Those are both defensive roles.

Sounds like you might like playing a Shammy. They can play either offense or defense. They can heal but dont need to be a dedicated healer. They can output dps. If not a Shaman I would suggest a Paladin.

sounds like a shammy would fit you.

If offensive is what you're looking for hunters are best DPS in the bracket. With instant long range damage, a dot, and amazing kiting ability they are pretty much unkillable provided you know what you are doing.

Yeah, and the benefit of making a Hunter is everyone will immediately hate you, think your no good, like to play in godmode, you'll get bored with it within a week because of the lack of challenge, and be rerolling something different in no time. Why wouldnt everyone go this route? /sarcasm much?

*Edit*

I suggest rolling a hunter if..

1) You have a different twink

2) There is a lot of GY farmers in your battlegroup that you need something to take your rage out on them with.

There is nothing boring about being effective imo. I didn't know being a hunter equaled insta rage among your peers. I like all the hunters i play with. Boring to me is sheeping people and casting rank 1 frostbolt all day. But to each their own.

I see you disagreed with the bordom part, but you didnt comment on everyone immediatly hating you, thinking your no good, playing in god mode, or the lack of challenge. Lol

Myself I could care less what people think of me. I suppose you are right however. If you are someone who wants praise roll a healer. I don't show my knowledge of the game by choosing a more difficult class. I show my knowledge of the game by winning. lol

Not quite what I meant by defensive.

I know the position hunters are in. I know they're the hated FotM. I'm also among the few who know how to play them properly. I spent a long time playing a 60 hunter doing 10+ hours of battlegrounds a day pre-2.0.

I also quit it for a reason. The more time I spend on other classes, the more I realize I hate the hunter playstyle. It's awkward and clunky.

I've considered it a bit more and I think I want to go with a mage. I'm really more interested in an offensive role but I'm coming off playing a rogue main and I like having a bit of control. The ability to kite will bring the one thing I enjoyed about a hunter to the table.

How are mages holding up in the 19 bracket? For a skilled player, would they be a good move in 3.1 and on?

I'm not knocking mages. Played well they are really useful and game breaking. However they are not very fun to play in my opinion. I have a CC mage on rampage. I wouldn't recomend playing a one unless you know that you will be running premades. A CC mage in a PUG is pretty much just running for your life. However if you have a soild group of people to que with you might enjoy it. To me the idea of playing without counterspell, blink, spellsteal, or anything fun seems. . .
