Advantages of 2 accounts

So I have let the sub on my 'main' expire, and have started a trial account on the same b.net

I am ready to put a sub on that account, and use the newer account to farm resources/gear for the twink on my 'main', vet account - how does this work exactly?

I know that I can use a higher level character on my active account, to run my vet twink through dungeons, but what else can I do to 'boost' the twink?
Can I mail over pieces of gear, or marks of honor, for example?

No, as the account without game time cannot use mail.

The can use the account with game time to taxi your 20 around for gathering mats, clearing dungeons etc but the 20 has to loot/gather what they need as you (obviously) cannot trade to an account without game time and they'd unable to open their mail.

I actually just asked about 2 accounts on Reddit yesterday. Is it as simple as opening bnet and loging into 1st account and than switch to 2nd account on bnet again and login the 2nd toon? No needes programs correct?

Benefits could be some of the following, but not limited to:
Boosting
Taxi (flying your twink to certain places)
Transmogs
Mounta
Pooling boe gear that can be moved with 24 hour gametime assuming vet twink acc and not full f2p.

I have 4 accounts, one for my vets one for making vets and another for running twinks of various lvls through content. My fourth is a pure f2p account. Running yourself through raids feels fine but dungeons are kind of a pita since you get loot from the entire loot pool instead of what you want. Also spam running myself through dungeons feels really boring.

In my opinion it's best to keep the sub on your main account and have your twinks on the other account. Unless you purely play for twinking. That way if you decide to play your higher characters your twinks aren't just sitting around because your sub is active. Put a sub on both accounts. Farm everything you need and fill your 2nd account's bank and bags with stacks and stacks of everything like gems, food, pots, enchants, and all that stuff. Then by the time you're done hoarding the second accounts sub will expire and you're good. After that, having a second account with high level characters is just a taxi and dungeon/raid carry essentially.
