Addons

What are some add ons that you guys use on all your twinks not just a specific class? Like UnitFrames and Cooldowns etc

Omni
Healbot
SaySapped

I can't remember the name, but I use a very lightweight addon that tracks energy regen for so you can open more efficiently (sap\ambush and have +20 energy immediately after)
-Bartender, so that I can hide all the abilities I don't need to see (backstab, evis, bandages, food, mount, etc). The only things you need to see are the ones that have a cooldown, otherwise it clutters your screen.
-Xperl as trimmed down as possible. I used to use moveanything, but I just prefer the look of Xperl.. both to move character frames closer to the middle of my screen. The split seconds you have to take looking up in the corner of your screen for HP add up. Also, I don't really play arena anymore, so there is no reason to play without addons.

I use a ton. ^^

Here's a random selection of Addons I find specifically useful for PvP:

  • BattlegroundTargets - displays the enemy team
  • BG Defender - helps you quickly call out # of incoming / help needed / safe in BGs, if you are near a point to defend
  • Deadly Boss Mods - dungeon and BG utilities
  • focusheals - announces enemy healers very quickly with /fh b, to remind your team to, well.
  • GTFO - Sounds different alarms if you are in AoE/ close to drowning/ fatigue zone/ etc.
  • Healers-Have-To-Die - big identifying icon on nameplates of healers
  • Icicle - cooldowns on nameplates of enemies
  • LoseControl - cooldowns of CC effects on yourself
  • OmniCC - spell / trinket cooldown countdowns on your actionbars
  • PowerDing - for pallies, microwave ding at full holy charge
  • SaySapped - /s Sapped
  • SpellFlash (Paladin) - flashes opportune spells
  • Spy - checks for nearby enemy players, useful for world pvp
  • TidyPlates - tidy nameplates
  • TipTacTalents - looks up specs / targeting and includes them in better tooltips
  • TrinketBar - for trinket management, old, but still works
  • VuhDo - raid and party unit frames suited to healing

Hey, about that first addon. Energy regain got changed a few years back so it no longer comes in packs of 20 every 2 sek. Its 1 per 0.1 sek now (changable by haste).
You can also move character frames wherever you want without addons ^^

I have quite a lot but my favorites are

Omnicc
MogIt
BattlegroundTargets
BattlegroundTargetingassist
Healers have to die
Quartz
Tidyplates

I also use Shadowed unit frames for...unit frames...
And outside BG's Spy is very useful at AGM

Nice link. Some addons there are a must.
Will add some of them.

My Battleground Addons
- BattlegroundTargets
- Capping Battleground Timers
- Doom_CooldownPulse
- Healers have to die
- OmniCC
- Power Auras Classic
- RangeDisplay
- Tidy Plates + Threat Plates

My General Purpose Addons
- AutoVendor
- Bagnon
- Gatherer
- Omen Threat Meter
- Pitbull Unit Frames 4.0
- Prat 3.0
- Recount
- Titan Panel

Will also be setting up Grid in the next couple of days to replace my party unit frames.

Range Display is so essential that I keep forgetting its an addon, and not default UI.

that is a hunter must. Dam i wanted that feature when playing a hunter since i suck at judging distances so staying at perfect range will pretty much be.......game over for anyone else. No more looking at minimap to guesstimate distances.

Energy doesn't work like that anymore :p

Also: I use icicle rather than interruptbar. Shows cooldowns on nameplates and it works with tidyplates

I am a healer and I think healers have to die.
