Clean Slate:
I've just gone through and removed all active warnings across the website. It's my hope with this that it'll serve as a clean slate for some users and make things less confusing for moderators. Again, all past warnings have been forgiven.

Fair warning:
Please keep in mind the CoC is now being fully enforced, if you rack up three warnings or commit serious offenses, action will now be taken against your account.

Thanks,

Happy posting!

Rules are strict policies which outline the expected behavior of our members. Should you choose not to follow these rules, you are subject to the consequences thereof. The nature of the consequence will vary greatly depending on the kind and degree of the infraction in question; but generally will result in one of the following actions:

1. Warnings - This includes official as well as unofficial warnings. The former would be a verbal warning; a staff members way of telling you that you are doing something that is against the rules, and that you should correct the problem before it results in a greater form of punishment. The latter, however, would be a more formal warning, using our warning system. Warnings that have been issued to you are indefinite, meaning that they will never go away (except in the case that you appeal the punishment and the warning is removed). Once you have accumulated 3 warnings with this system, you will receive a temporary ban.

2.Temporary Bans - Temp-bans are, as the name implies, temporary. They may last anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks, perhaps more in some cases. Accumulation of temporary bans will increase in duration, and we follow a strict policy of "3 strikes, you're out". In other words, you may receive up to 3 temp bans before you are perma-banned.

3. Permanent Bans - Perma-bans are, again, as the name clearly implies, indefinite. Once a member has been perma-banned, they are under no circumstances permitted to create any further accounts with XPoff, this would be considered ban evading. Should you attempt to do this, your new account(s) will be closed.

XPOff Forum Rules

1. No posting of personal information that isn't yours. Privacy is to be respected here. This includes any passwords, logins or anything else which could be considered private.

2. No adult images, adult links, or other adult content which would be considered inappropriate for the general user-base. No direct links to infected downloads in posts or profiles. Profiles and posts should not contain special characters which break or alter the site's layout.

3. Be respectful of your fellow community members and the forum staff at all times. Engaging in harassing, threatening, insulting, racist, or provocative behavior towards others is not allowed. This includes any on-site material such as posts, PMs, and profiles. In addition, you may not impersonate other members.

4. All trade related threads must be in the Trade sub-forum of the respective bracket. Misplaced threads will be moved, and you will be informed of such action (no punishment will be issued). Black-market trades, or any trades which involve real currency, will not be tolerated. Trades of this nature must be kept in the Underbelly. Violation of this rule will result in an immediate initial temp ban.

5. Multiple accounts will not be allowed unless you are reporting your original account as hacked or otherwise stolen. Ban evading will result in the permanent closing of your old account and new accounts. No exceptions.

6. Creating threads that require and/or demand staff attention is prohibited. This includes publicly discussing bans and moderation. Please start a conversation with a staff member instead.

7. Advertising of competing sites/discords is not allowed. This refers to any website/discord with a WoW Twink Community forum that's similar to XPOFF or has a relatively similar forum structure. Advertising includes signatures, PMs, profiles, and posts.

8. Moderators will try to recognize and leave alone (within reason!) any harmless banter or threads that belong to “bracket culture”. Users participating in banter signal that they find a certain level of sass acceptable. Recognizing “bracket culture” may sometimes be difficult. Moderators will tend to wait for reports in the case of dubious threads, but reserve the right to edit / delete anything they deem too toxic, or move / delete anything they deem too irrelevant to the section. Banter should be mutual, attacking someone in threads intended to be peaceful by the OP may result in the posts being edited or deleted. The user may receive a warning in a post in the thread or via PM. Doing this again after the initial warning will lead to a Temporary Ban.

9. Any rules posted in the forums header must also be reviewed. Some forums may have special policies that must be adhered to. Don't post in any forum without first reading and understanding them.

10. New Users should never be treated with hostility. Treating new Users harshly when ignorance may be the reason for their posts may get the posts edited or deleted. The hostile User may get a Warning in a post in the thread or via PM. Doing this again after the initial Warning will lead to a Temporary Ban.

Etiquette is just as the term implies. These are not intended to be taken as "rules", but "guidelines" in which we provide in an effort to keep the site more in-line with our view of direction. Failure to follow our forum etiquette will not usually result in any form of punishment, except in some extreme cases where it is deemed necessary. However, be advised that any content which fails to abide by our etiquette IS subject to moderation by staff members at their discretion.

Posting Etiquette of XPOff Forums

1. Post in the correct category.

2. Don't double post. That's when you post one after another instead of editing your original post.

3. Don't cross post. That's when you repeat a post in multiple threads or categories.

4. Threads must have titles relevant to the subject.

5. When posting content from another site, credit the site; use quotes and link to original content as much as possible.

6. Threads, posts, and characters in threads and posts that are not contributive, are non-supportive, short and meaningless, and generally incoherent are considered low-quality posts and should be avoided.

7. Be kind to others. How hard is it to not be an asshole?

IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED PUNISHMENT OF SOME SORT FOR BREAKING A RULE, OR HAVE HAD YOUR CONTENT MODERATED BY A STAFF MEMBER AND WOULD LIKE TO APPEAL SUCH ACTION, YOU MAY DO SO BY USING OUR CONTACT FORM. YOU CAN TRY TO PM THE STAFF MEMBER WHO ISSUED YOUR PUNISHMENT OR MODERATED YOUR CONTENT, BUT DO NOT EXPECT A RESPONSE EVERY TIME AS THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED TO RESPOND. ANY ISSUES WITH ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER SHOULD BE ADDRESSED DIRECTLY TO ME. YOU MAY CONTACT ME VIA THE CONTACT FORM, A PM ON THE SITE, OR A DM ON DISCORD.
