not I. cant see many people doing it (aka no xp off BGs)....sooo only reason would be to not get cata and faceroll levelers in BGs. except with stat inflation in cata and possibly well itemized gear (now that there's so few stats to choose from) it might not be extremely easy to kill 84s...or however the new brackets will look for that matter.

yeah they may not have wrathful gear res....however no wrathfull gear or ICC gear can get cata enchants.....the new enchants are brutal and require 300+ items.
if blizz limits the cata gems, leg armors, head and shoulder enchants to 300+......those items have pinball inflation compared to anything WOTLK. in that case, if a 80 twink is or was too be viable they would be doing in in cata gear that meets 300+ item level req. but from what i read a 80 twink will have a hard time also killing a 81 or 82, if what blizz has blue posted on scaling of power from 81-85.
i have 70 twinks, they are able to play the 70-79 bracket BGs due to being allowed to use wotlk ench, gems, leg armor kits. 60 twinks in BC greens and blue gear that take sockets are killer too in 60-69. only see 80's in cata greens and blues doing the same......from info so far.

oh and i dont think the gear jump will be too extreme barring the enchant/gem scenario. cuz i mean in one of the first instances it looked like the boss drops were side/upgrades from icc 10 gear, not icc 25 or heroic gears. so we'll see. also what would the brackets be? 71-80 av and 80-84 all else?

i would like to point out that the 70-79 brackets will be screwed over with cata a bit, because all this 300+ gear that is 79+ will....yes thats right be available to level 79s. Your level 70 will be steamrolled by a 78-79 in cataclysm quest greens. So the idea that 60 and 70 will remain the same is wrong, only 60 will be the same.

67-69 wotlk greens/blues are brutal, but so are BC greens and blues that have multiple socket slots, 2 of my players were 69 twinks with heavy wotlk gems....had no issues with any 60 in BC blue/greens or in T2-3 epic gear. no helm a 60 twink could have could touch my "stealther's helm of second sight" along with many other pieces i had including some wotlk items. blizz's BG split up caused me to level to 70. i had a 69 with zero xp, a full bar to 70, lasted 2 days on a COA weekend and popped.

my 70's are BC capped, 77-79 players with CATA 77-79 greens/blues will be no different than above, near same situation. before the BG split up, i would not have even taken a 70 into 70-79 bracket, because many twinks had the crafted 8 piece blue PVP sets with resilience built in. sometimes players still put on those sets, but they will not last long and will level out. same will happen with 77-79's in cata gear.....enjoy 2-3 days max in the XP BGs....gone.
if twinking comes back in the AV XP off brackets a 60 will not see a serious 69 twink, and a 70 will not see a serious 79 twink unless you play in WSG, AB, EOTS
btw...if you follow twinking. 60 and 70 twinks became popular when blizz did the BG split up for XP on - off. before that they rarely ventured into 60-69 or 70-79 brackets

if blizz goes back to 71-80 braqcket for AV......80 twinks would be viable, but more than likely would only see AV action on AV CoA weekends.

it's past common knowledge, extensive QQ on forums, etc etc. why 80's were put in their own bracket when it came to AV. the 71-79's that 80's were destroying weren't twinks or even BC geared players. as for 79 twinks, that hardly even got off the ground. much of this was going on when ret-pal and DK's hadn't been fully nerfed down yet and were still running around in god mode. there was alot of QQ by 80's that lowbees blow the games and are forced to spend time to form premades. well they are all 80's now and they still have to form premades

I have been playing my 80 4/5 wrathfull dk, changed from unholy to frost pve and reforged mastery also using 277 pve rings / neck and some nice cata weapons, seems a good amount of res. The account is w/o cata and it seems all level 80s in the bg.
These cata green wearing fools are being crit for 18ks with just howling blast lol, the AoE is intense. VERY fun, AV and IoC are amazing, all NPCs are 84-85 elites equaling a farm fest, hehe old school AV bosses again!
In IoC, Glaives are godly hitting 60k Sieges 1 hit anything, take WS then Dock, break their wall, cap everythin, and line that siege up infront of thier GY and hehe.. BOOOOOM.
Averaging 250 kills per IoC and about 300 per AV with 0-10 deaths depending if im being healbotted or what. Theres good queue times so i think alot of players still dont have cata but not alot are very geared.
Its been fun in a crazy way.
