80 twink guild-Cant Afford Cata@Silvermoon [A]

Been checking out forums and seen a couple 80 twinks out there just wanna give a shout out letting you know about our 80 twink guild here on Silvermoon [A] . Atm were running icc10hc and other older raids weekly/rbgs in progress (only real games). and were trying to get some more 80 twinks to try get some ally icc25 runs going on as it seems horde already have an icc25hc 80 run going on weekly via cross realm and from what ive read goes smoothly each week think there getting close to 12/12 hc. BuT Just w/anybody in guild for info if you are interested or have any questions.

At the moment we run in cata gear, once we all have WoTLK gear we will be using it. Ah, btw we got Herald of the Titans in progress aswell.

I don't really see the appeal in raiding in boosted/cata gear (though I dare not assume your entire raiding team is afflicted by this) :3

I do have an 80 priest in the SoR gear, but she's wrong faction + server

You see, I don't see the point in pointlessly gimping myself for the sake of purples over blues, (given that blues are BiS) but each to their own I suppose.

I've got no problem with it, just I find it more fun having to work slightly harder for kills and having a great time on vent even through wipes etc. ^^

I understand why people like using wotlk only, but wotlk content is faceroll anyway, with the huge boost from mastery reforged gear and huge boost from cata damage.

yeah of course, can't really do much to counter power creep, but we find it more fun to use wrath gear anyway

Ye i understand.
When i played on my mage, i used 100% (exept weapon) wotlk gear, it very nostalgic

But since people (yours truly, included) was very bad back then, it made it hard..

Certainly harder than now, no argueing there..

The thing people wanna raid in ICC gear / RS gear only it is to make it hard nothing more then that.

So i dont understand why we even have the discussion about gimbing your self.

Raid with what ever you want if a guild only wanna use old gear let them do it.

and i got 3 chars with only old gear BIS but i still have cata gear so get both gear and be happy !!!!!
