60 twink rogue

Dear people(s),

So I have been planning on making a 60 rogue for awhile now, but have just gotten to it. I should have it to 60 by the end of this week..

Anyway, my question to people who have done this before, is it worth it?

---> my reason for making it is that I am fairly sure every rogue has wanted t2 at one time or another. Thunderfury would be cool but I am not getting my hopes up... plus it is one of the only brackets I haven't twinked a rogue at.

Plus, I /played my 80 for a day and was already bored to hell.

What is holding me back are spriests/warlocks.. I don't mind dks so much. Spriests seem to kill me no matter what- even if I win I die due to the lack of CoS. Of course, things will get easier when I have better weapons.. my mainhand dagger is Gahz'rilla fang from ZF (39-74 damage)... i normally would have been nit picky to get every BiS so I could have fun pvping along the way, but I wanted to it 60 asap this time due to the possibility of raids being removed in cata.

Soo, what do you guys think? I will be doing it just for the gear / raiding anyway, but is it worth actually putting in the time to really pvp with?

Yes, it is very worth it.

60 Twink Rogues are by far my favorite class to twink.

On your question about gear, T2 is sexy, but its not very effective for a good twink pvp set. I stick with full AQ 40 2.5, because the 5 set bonus gives you +15% damage on your eviscerates, which always seem to save me battles.

Class vs class wise, S priests pretty much counter anything, so don't get "down in the bog" if you can't 1v1 one, they can do massive amounts of damage through a few dots while running around with a shield on. Warlocks shouldn't give you a problem though, just burn through the SAC asap.

Now as far as specs goes, I'll give you a run down.

Combat: By far the least required skill spec. All you have to do it pop adren, BF, and wack a few times, then pop killing spree and you win the battle. Its honestly stupid, and I look down upon all combat rogues for that reason. (Tip, if you fight one rogue vs rogue, vanish removes KS).

Ambush Spam Sub: This spec requires you to go into shadow dance, and stun and repeatedly ambush, and back stab while keeping shadowstep up to break slowing effects and winning the duel. This spec has limited burst however, once your shadow dance is up, you have to play VERY defensively.

Hemo Spam Sub: Very fun spec, I play this as my off spec. Spec into sub down to the hemo tree then copy my spec on the armory. You equip a slow sword or axe or mace in your main hand (mongoose or berserk enchant) and a good dagger in your offhand. You run around spamming hemo, KS, and eviscerate from your 2.5 set bonus. Since you wont be using backstab, only use shadowstep as a defensive move, to get out of a tight maneuver, or to break their concentration.

Mutilate: This is my main spec, and I love it the most, as I play it in the 80 bracket as well. This is a very well balanced spec and requires you to time all your CD's properly. Don't copy my spec on the armory I was testing something with Nerves 3/3 to reduce damage, but its not worth it so I'm respeccing. As mut, your goal is to kill your target before all your CC Cd's are up, otherwise it gets rather stressful since you dont have SS, or KS to break slow. So time your CD's, and spread em out.

Hope this helped, and happy twinking!

If you're going more for a Twink v Twink set up, check out The World of Warcraft Armory - B

His HP is a bit low but more than makes up for it in utility and high burst, the Nigh Invulnerability Belt is EXTREAMLY good and is a free 4k HP if you can predict incoming nukes. While 15% extra evis dmg is sexy, it's not as good if you can't fully kill the person within your stunlock (which a quick trinket -> Inv Belt prevent you from doing) and having 78 adi ontop of other stats from Scouts Hood makes it better vs an equily geared twink. You cannot get the Sonic Booster unless you're a Gnome.

I on the other hand find hemo specc weak and shadowdance the best in pvp, u can check my char on the link in my sig, so far every other twink rogue that's seen me in action has copied my specc (don't mind my combat os, it's for pve use purely) I have been twinking for about 5 months andas u can see on my armory I have tf, it's just pure luck to ever obtain tf tho.

Tbh no idea, that's why I wanna find someone who's tried it so he can tell.

Used to run with a Rogue pre-BC who had Ironfoe/FelStriker and 6/8 T1, he raped face till people started to get AQ40 gear.

I love my rogue... but now that its finished and i have all items EXCEPT thunderfury and neffys god damn neck... Using Deathsting and Pugio (not a fan of tbc items or pvp items) can do up to 2k mutilates on clothies! Having my thistle teas to spare drop anything even twink palas... after they bubble and i trinket stun ofc. Also have sub spec for the prep chapshot ofc throwing in a SS beafore cheapshot 5 combo evis I WIN YOU LOSE 5K CRIT (again on clothies).

I love my rogue i pick of the heals and no other class make smore use of C'thuns tentacle since it doesnt move... stun them its 2sec attack speed and does around 150-250 dmg depending on class ur stunning gets a extra 800 or so dmg in. heres my armoury on EU The World of Warcraft Armory - Wannabeninja @ Bladefist - Profile (wearing nightslayer for energy o yes sometiems wear 3/8 BF (replace Deathdealthers)
