do boomkins do decent damage at 60 pvp wise? is starfall anywhere nearas crazy at this level as it is at 80? and are resto druids decent at this level?

Yes boomkins do really nice damage at 60, just putting up moonfire dot and IS is decent damage. Not too sure about starfall, resto druids are weak compared to any other 60 healer.. No lifebloom,clone or nourish. They only have 3 hots and healing touch.

lol Resto Druids are weak lmao Resto Druids are OP at 60 PvP and PvE they have great AoE heals HoTs Healing Touch can be brought down to under a GCD I could go on and on about Resto druids at 60 Nature's grasp Swiftmend bark skin but then I am bias
 
pretty sure resto druids are good at any bracket. mobility ftw. wild growth ftw. lifebloom isnt even that great since LK made it a crap ton more mana to cast and you cant roll it anymore. HT under the gcd is cool, but also dumb unless you lag like crazy you're just clipping gcd. swiftmend, natures swiftness....oh i think the list goes on, but eh.



im sure moonkins can do ok, the problem would just be getting gear. the tier stuff sucks since resto was basically the only spec in vanilla. so you'll have to grab cloth caster offset gear and stuff. and im sure they can do some pretty good damage

so now baisically im down to deciding between frost mage and druid what do you guys think would be a better route to choose?(keep in mind raiding gear is probably going to be a bitch on my server)
 
druid



prolly almost the same as that mage. but you can tank, melee dps, range dps, or heal. mages just go squish

They are not one of the most powerful in the 60 bracket. Yes they hit like a truck but lack survivability. I don't know a class that "can't" beat a boomkin 1v1. I know as a Spriest i have no problem at all with even the best geared boomkins.
 
no survivability? really good self heals? crazy mobility? yea sounds awful youre right

almost every other class can silence a heal, mobility can't out run Dots.
 
dot dot dot silence travel form, heal heal heal, pew pew pew, win win win
 
lawl i don't know what type of people you got in your bracket but they must be real bad if boomkins are rockin the place.
 
the moonkins must be poopy if they're that easy to faceroll
 
The reason I said its bad they dont have lifebloom, Is cos you can just dispel them and they cant do shit and will have to run away or die. If they cast any hots u just dispel them with 0 resistance while they take damage so they have to stand still if they want to heal which causes them to die.
 
ummmmmmm 30% resist to dispels. 1sec healing touch.

lifebloom sucks b/c it costs a tit load of mana to cost even though it provides a bit of dispel protection.

and uh yea, roots, bear form (+ frienzied rejuv), barkskin, travel form.



only a bad druid goes "oh noez, lemme stand still and ponder!"

Sorry to bump an old thread but you disagree with me on every thread i ever post on.



Druids havent had any spell resistance on there hots for the whole of wotlk



I said stand still and heal. not stand still and do nothing. And ofcourse a bad druid is going to do that? what does that have to do with anything?



And yeah shifting to bearform with 0 rage using frenzied regen is going to outheal anyones dps in the 60 bracket? Have you ever played the 60 bracket before?
 
dude. its a resto talent. and if you're seriously having that much trouble surviving you'll get it then and live. that or keep qqing when you die. when talented you get 30% dispel resis. you can also knock time off HT. you can also get furor for 10 rage, PLUS enrage for even more. take a few hits/hit a few people for more rage THEN pop frenzied rejuz.



point being. if you're way to squishy as a full balance druid then toss a few points into resto and l2p. if you like dying easily then dont qq when there are other options that'll help you.
