EU+US 40 lvl mount question

I have noticed some people have mounts unlocked that require lvl 40 like Swift Brown Steed, but they have only achievment for lvl 20. How is it possible?

Once upon a time, a loophole allowed f2ps to play Death Knights. That loophole has since been plugged, however.

Many mounts require level 40 learn but only require level 20 to use.

Mounts don't have certain speeds anymore. Your mounted speed is decided solely by your riding skill. You can mount any account-wide mount in the game at level 20 (even flying mounts), but it'll still move at 60% increased speed.

Basically, once upon a time there were two different points at which you learned ground riding and there were two different speeds of ground mounts. Now mounts scale with your riding skill, instead of having a level requirement.

I guess I misread the question - the answer you're probably looking for is either a. they have a dk on their account or b. they are p2p or vets and have "show only character achievements to others" toggled on.
