EU+US 40-49 Battlegrounds, played any yet?

So I've done a few battlegrounds on my Shaman as 49 as enhancement, seems to be a bad bracket for alliance, but being level 49 does make you immune to basically everyone below level 45.

If anyone ever wants to group up with me I'll be up for that, might be fun. We gained a lot of abilities and opportunities for gearing (most of the PvP rewards are better than what I had).
 
I'm not talking PvP improvements here, the items are probably only an improvement for PvE. I think they're the same item level as Heirlooms even.

I'm on EU, only got a shaman at 49 though and they don't seem to fare too fantastic as enhancement anyway :(

Ait. Well, I haven't decided yet if my currently leveling Warrior Undead will be a 39 or a 49 or 50. You can add me on sheep#2192 I'd like to hear more as you explore 49.

Sorry, seems I was wrong (in a good way) the heirlooms are level 54, but the upgraded rares are 57, so it's higher!

Not much to explore, except that shamans aren't FOTM :p

In PvE I do really great as Enhancement. I haven't tried elemental yet at all and as resto I get nuked by two players quite easily (then again I never PvP'd with a shaman before today, maybe I'll get better).

Won 2/3 games though.

Good point, might one of the stronger classes at 49. I've mainly been killed 1v1 by Outlaw rogues.
 
at 49 Boa gear is Ilvl 54 and it has better stats than most stuff you can find at il 55. I am not sure how stats or item lvl works in bg anymore. I think stam is the only stat that matters and the rest is a buff that is stronger with il. I have no idea really tho.

No stats at all matter. It's only Item Level, so BoA's are not BiS.
 
Played a few bgs on my only 49 which is a mage, tried fire and seems pretty good as have the majority of spells that make fire good at max level, combustion etc and some other cds to pop to increase crit. Only thing is probably need a healer as everyone is running around like headless chickens in most brackets atm so i was dying alot.

Lol you got a 49 Mage too :) this is a weird bracket for mages I don't know how to play Mage tho XD

Havent tried stacking ilvl yet tbh so im just sitting in a random set from before the ilvl changes, mostly epics.
 
49's have the lowest ilvl differential ceiling of all XP-off brackets, since it's the highest bracket before expansion gear arrives. I imagine the best average ilvl will be in the low 60s, making for a 1% gear advantage over non-geared PvPers.

so does that mean that stuff like Voice Amplification is BIS(I am sure there is other junk items in that slot with higher IL). Guild cape too?

I am sure there is many more. As far as I can tell there is nothing with an abnormally high item lvl from professions. I'd imagine that most of the stuff lvl 19 have will be bis in this bracket too. I will try to find more even if they are not necessarily "easy to obtain". Please keep searching.
