2hand enha shaman

Due to enhancement buff in 5.3 will someone test 2 handed shaman and see if its viable? I've seen some huge crits in end game pvp with it so I'm curious if this affects 19 aswell. Despite ele being op as fuq
thanks :)

19 shamans don't get storm strike, so they are terrible especially with a 2hander. Enhance shamans before level 30 are really just not good.

Unless you just want to run around spamming Healing Surge, Purge, and Wind Shear...

Guess what enhancement shamans get at 10.

They get lava lash. How is this relevant? The thread was about enhancement shamans using 2-handed weapons, and lava lash can not be used with a 2-handed weapon equipped.

I don't think this is something that should be swept under the rug. The public has the right to know what Arkant meant with his post. And as discussing the viability of 2h enhancement shamans is quite a serious topic, it should be discussed in the thread rather than in private messages.

i think the bigger picture to look at is the fact that 2h enhance physically cannot be better than resto or ele at contributing to an arena or BG team. Even if you can lava lash with a 2h, the spec will be sub par, and a liability, because its melee. Not to mention, i dont even see why this is a question, because people already report AFK the players who arent spec'd to contribute.

until ele does less dmg than enhance no one is going to play it for obvious reasons besides a few people who enjoy disadvantaging themselves

I have always wanted to play enhance at 19 besides it not being an op class at all. How many classes out there dont compare to ele, boom or hunters right now but everyone plays them for fun and support. Enhance can be the same no doubt.

With Lava Lash, and the Brawler's fist weapons (though stats are same as boa maces, fists look way better) I think Enhance could be a REALLY fun class to play and would be a nice class to eventually see in the arenas when they start back up again. If someone makes this sham soon please let me know, Id like to see it in action. Been on my to do list for awhile, but so is alot of other things.

Well, by fun I mean something different, you don't see anyone playing enhancement shamans anymore for obvious reasons...but even in the past, enhancement has never been as common as elemental and resto.

Heh, Ive never seen anyone playing them in the first place. Do you have a Chardev of a BiS Enha shaman?

It would be identical to any hunter chardev, with BoA maces/fists instead of a bow/gun.

Right now Enhancement isn't viable because most of it's damage is disproportionately coming from auto attack damage. Primal strike is absolutely terrible (nowhere near Storm Strike, and eve that's doing mediocre damage), and Lava Lash is based on OH damage (50%).

In 5.4, with the buff to enchants, there is hope that enhance will gain considerably from either Mongoose, Dancing Steel, or Elemental Force.

Still not sure how it will compare to other classes (they are getting buffs too), but it should be an improvement (especially elemental force).

Thanks. I just made the Chardev and now I'm copying a shaman to the PTR to test it out.
