29 Resto Shammy

Hey there i used to post on Pwndepot then it shut down (n) then i found this site so hi ;)

Ok when i come to WoW im gonna make a few projects and my first is a 29 twink shammy

character planner . restoshammy . chardev seven

Thats what i have came up with if you think that 2.9k mana is over the "needed" mark i'll swap it out for 30SP and also will my SP be good enough to dish out some decent damage soloing in PvP

Also yes there is horde items in there im plannin on making him a hordie first to get those items then Race change to alli

Last question - Most active EU battleground these days is ?

swap the level 18 WSG ring for a chraged gear or DMH.

Search AH for 7/7 or even 7/6 leather gloves over the nightsky once.

And unless you really want too; I wouldnt do the race change over the gallencuffs and the shield; At least, Marbeled Buckler is an alterntive that is quite on par with your current choice, and 5/5 leather wrists or 5/6 from gnomer can work just as well as the gallencuffs, even the arcaned runed wrists can be a working alternative.

And for a neck you could maybe find a 4/5 eagle one, at least you dont have any use for the spirit right?

Last thing about the battleground:

Cruelty is the place to go. You can find more info on the thread here or you can come talk to the folks over there via :: QuakeNet Web IRC (qwebirc) (channel name: eu-nightfall)

not much; but a guild m8t of mine has close to the same spec as yours; he could put out a 1/4>1/3 of his heals in dmg; so in a rough bg with 25k healing he would have done something like 12k dmg.

Healer shamans have a tremendous amount of variety of gear and talents. If you do some digging around this site, you'll find threads that include 29 healer shamans who geared for stamina, for spellpower, and for intellect. Some spec resto, others spec spellhance. It really depends on your playstyle. Perhaps tell us a bit about how you like (or don't like) to play, and we can make better recommendations for you.

As an example, I prefer to play as an escort and team booster, and I like being in the center of battle. Therefore, I went with a resto build in order to get less pushback during casting. I chose a very high spell power build, and stamina over intellect. I rely on my water shield to keep up my mana, which only works if I stay under attack. While others would say my mana is ridiculously low, I don't have mana problems.

One thing I can recommend: whatever spec you go with, skip the Improved Healing Wave. In the 29 bracket, the lesser healing wave has nearly identical healing throughput and mana usage, so you're better off using it exclusively to help avoid interrupts.

If you're looking to do as much offense as defense, seriously consider a spellhance build.

I hope this helps!

Cheers for those links

Well i'd like to be able to have a high mana pool with atleast 100-130 SP to atleast defend myself

So honestly im more of a full healer and back-up dps, i would only deal damage when im by myself or with 1 friend but if in a premade or actually bored of damage dealing i'd like to just heal

Imo the more mana the better but if you say you dont have mana problems i should get more stamina anyway i wont be making this guy until i get my laptop which is near christmas but i'd like to atleast get some knowledge on the 29 bracket , my main is a 80shammy and im enhancement / resto , so i know my class pretty well been playing him sicne TBC first release

While 80 PvP shammy experience can help, some of the missing tools in the 29 bracket make a difference in how shamans play. No Nature's Swiftness, no cleansing totem (that was a major loss for shamans in the 29 bracket when 3.1 landed), and crit does not play a significant factor in healing, because the tradeoff against spell power and survivability is too great. You'll quickly adjust to the differences of these missing attributes -- I find it a lot easier to learn the intricacies of less options than to absorb the potential of more options.

Shamans have very little burst in the 29 bracket, so they are much more reliant on kiting to defend themselves. Therefore, your spell power choices won't influence your survivability. Phazzity starts with an INT-enchanted weapon and shield, then switches to a +sp weapon and +STA shield (I believe). Vanasplode plays spellhance for survivability, while Rylsky plays spellhance for more offense. Note Rylsky's 18% crit, which is really high for a shaman at this level. Yet that's still only one out of every six to seven attacks and heals.

If you enjoy playing both melee shamans and caster shamans, give spellhance a try. With a couple of alterations to boost stamina and mana, I think you might enjoy Rylsky's build.
