19 Rogue - Deadmines Solo

Just did it on my rogue, was fun! =D I originally thought that VC would be a problem but he wasn't all that bad. What I did was sap one of his initial blackguards and get as much dmg in on him as I could. When I got down to about ~350hp I popped sprint and ran the the portion of the boat behind VC's cabin to get a few bandage ticks before they caught up. Kept fighting until the 2nd pair of blackguards spawned which is when I popped evasion and lifeblood. At about 1/4 more HP on VC I used agm and that was that. I also avoided dying to the blackguards by simply jumping on one of the cannons and reseting them. Anyone else done this? If so, how did you do it?

well i did the canon thing at the boss before last boss - cause i found it hard...

but i solo with a level 29 warr :)

i recomand to make video... cause it s better to see it (I always play wow with fraps in backgorund)

The devil boss is kinda wired cause it stuns you no matter what.

I did DM for about 200 times and some time I did it with boost (100 times) and the level 70 mage couldn't take that Smite from 1 hit cause it has a script to stun at 50% HP.

I was trying to do a movie back then... this one:

love deadmines - best instance ever

I actually have a theory about Deadmines. I think this is the first and only instance created in the game. The rest are just copies of it, with changes - other mobs, other arhitecture.

actually that movie was the reason i became a twink- cause prince charming was a level 29 warr - and he got that level because he done DM 100 times trying to make that video

lol, im gonna try to only kill the bosses, gonna prob 2 man it with a lvl 12 rogue just for fun :) we gonna gank VC but dunno when :)

Soloed everything up to smites on my shammy and then 2 manned the last 2 bosses with a warrior. Soloing this instance isn't hard but simply boring (except for rogues) because clearing all the trash takes pretty long. At the start of the instance when the mobs are still regular it goes pretty fast but when every mob becomes elite they'll take some time to clear.

i soloed this on my shammy, it was fairly easy although smite gave me more of a run for my money than VC did.

Sneed and his shredder must be the easiest boss in the game, i could solo him on any char you cared to give me, except maybe a lvl 1 pala ^^

Anywho, nice work with your rogue :)

Not yet solo the entire of DM by myself but soloed van twice now. What I did is sap one of the stealth's then jump around him garrote, stack 5pts then eviserate and repeat. pop evo at begin and once im around 600hp hit lb and once im to die hit agm. and hopefully rng is your friend when you fight him ^^ once dead just sprint onto the big wheel thing and get out of combat. :)

Deadmines is probably soloable at level 10 with BoA, Formal Dangui, 2x AGM, Profs, and perfect gear.

That's before dodge nerfs.

So, Captain Obvious, will we be setting sail now or shall we plunder this village and reep all of the obviousness from it so in which you may get rid of it?

My name isn't "Captian Obvious"

What are you talking about?

lvl 10 twink cant kill vc impossible he will dodge u everytime at lvl 10 plus u will barely dodge attacks vc i believe is 11 lvls above lvl 10

Just some tips if people are struggling doing this:

Sneed + Shredder: You can do this without being hit (unless your a silly loladin), the wodden path leading to locked door happens to not allow mobs to run sideways off the edge. So initially stand (when the room is cleared) on the wooden platform then wand / shoot / cast on the boss and when he gets near or when you get on low hp, move right a bit on the normal floor and bandage while he runs to the locked door and round back to you. This fight is easy anyway there should be little problem.

Smite: Kill the adds first. Then try and stay alive and damage Smite a bit while kiting him back near to the cannon used to open the door. When he stuns and runs back to his chest you have ample time to bandage before he gets back, stay by the cannon and wait till he comes back to you and do the same again.

Van Cleef: I'd recommend killing adds first, but you can do it with them. Pull him back to the side of the ship you just came from (approx above the wheel), do some hurty stuff on him till you're on fairly low hp (save some for the next bit) drop down onto the deck below, be careful not to fall onto the wheel and reset him or into the water as that just gets messy, bandage up and kite him back to the top into position to fall back down again for your next bandage.

At 19 I'm pretty sure every class can do DM, if you really wanna do it a full clear might take about an hour and probably more then that on your first clear.

Great, now I have something to attempt on my mage lol.

I was acutally going to try solo VC with my 10lvl rogue, might try it soon.

Use As many stamina buffs as you can.

Rumsey rum. I dont know if halaani Whiskey is available at level 10.

Bring healing pots. All the kinds of scrolls. Stamina, Agility etc etc.

Im not sure if it is still do able with a level 10 because of the dodge rating. But if you do complete it. Please let us know.

P.S. Im not sure if you can even go into deadmines at level 10.

Yeah, level 10 is the min level you can enter (only shows up on LFG tab at 15 though). For a level 10 as Ump says, pretty much as many buffs (within reason) you can get, you should use. Personally I counted it as a fail if I died at any point in the run, and reset if I did, maybe it's because I had too much time, or maybe because I could combat-meld (<- I don't think this is really necessary) . If you don't have much time or patience it might be cool if you get an 80 to clear trash and just solo the bosses or VC, up to you ofc though.
