19 mage. Thoughts?

I'm planning on finishing my 19 cc mage and this is the gearset I'm thinking of using.

Shoulders: Talbar Mantle

Chest: Tree Bark Jacket *100 HP* or Bloody Apron *100 HP*?

Wrists: Buccaneer's Bracers of the Eagle (2 Stamina 2 Intellect) *9 Stamina*

Hands: Magefist Gloves *10 Haste*

Waist: Keller's Girdle

Legs: Darkweave Breaches *24 Armor* or Pious Legwraps (8 Stamina 7 Spirit) *16 Armor*?

Feet: Spidersilk Boots *Minor Speed*

Finger 1: Lavishly Jeweled Ring

Finger 2: Simple Pearl Ring

Trinket 1: Arena Grandmaster

Twinket 2: Arena Grandmaster



Main Hand: Sharpened Scarlet Kris *22 Intellect*

Off Hand: Furbolg Medicine Pouch

Obviously I am losing stats by going with simple pearl ring instead of a seal but with it I am hit capped. Is it worth the lost stats? Also, pleas critique anything else. Thanks.

4 stam bracers +9 stam.

you over cap, spell cap isnt 11 hit rating, thats melee. I think u need 8 or 7 only.

If you're alliance the spell cap is 11. If you're horde you only 7 rating except against dwarves, but noone plays a dwarf anyway. If you are squid then you'll need 9 rating. Personally i think squid is the best ally race since gotn is superior to 12 stam imo. Also if you're draneie you only need 9 to cap.



Edit: use tbj if you can get it, 4stam bracers, 40 armour on DWB, dawnblade if horde, insignia if not human. If you decide to steer away from simple pearl then wrynn is best.

Get Grand Staff of Jordan w/ +22intellect. +10stam +15sp +10hit & +22int on top & some resiliene. Nice

Sharpened Scarlet Kris > Dawnblade.

You lose 1 stamina but gain resilience, added with BoA Insignia is nice

Also, with the spec, and the haste. I'd go 3/3 into frostbite.

Haste brings your casting down to 1.01 if you spec into 4/5 Imp Frostbolt, nearly that of the time if you didn't have haste, but were specced 5/5 into it.



So you can sacrifice .01 of a second for another point into frostbite.



Although this isn't the case with most mages, I prefer to go that way, and it procs even more than at 2/3 (obviously).



Everything seems good to go though, but definitely TBJ > Bloody Apron.

That extra 150mp is definitely greater than an additional 60hp.

4/5 Imp. Frostbolt and 10 haste makes a rank 1 Frostbolt 1.048 second cast (10 haste rating is 4.73% haste at 19). 5/5 Imp Frostbolt with haste is .955 seconds. I'm not sure why bringing up speed without haste is relevant since there's no reason not to have it.
