5.0.4 has hit. I've yet to see a thread on 19 priests where in depth discussions have been done on spec/gear/talents etc... So if you have knowledge of what's in and what's out it would be appreciated by many for you to give your insight!

I'm having a lot of fun with psyfiend
 
Psyfiend is good, and it's what I'm using, but if youll see a fair share of 'immunes' due to DR with Psychic Scream.
 
I've tried out each talent. And to me it seems as if Tendrils are the best choice. This is due to the fact that it helps when on D and O. My thing with the Psyfiend is in fact the DR with Psychic Scream. Mind Control (Dominate Mind) on the other hand was only useful in situations where I had to CC healers that were with the EFC. Any news on gear?

Well priests don't really need any discussions because we are pretty much exactly the same at cata, except we lost mb, gained psyfiend and are now a wee bit more immortal with 0 mana problems. I believe hit cap is like 6% now? Something like that, not sure
 
sigh mc is by far the best, also gear doesnt rly matter should just try to get something above 200 sp and 2k hp with rum and inner fire
 
Psyfiend is the best choice because druids can shift out of roots and dominate mind is not as convenient as Psyfiend. With Psyfiend u can just slap it down and throw a shield on it then you are good as gold.

mc would be better than psyfiend if 19s had arenas... but for now it is virtually useless because more often than not, your mc will just get interrupted if the other team isn't retarded. psyfiend spams fear on everyone, it is just so op
 
Psyfiend also refears someone if they trinket within range (20 yards)
 
like Daga said, MC for arenas Psyfiend for WSG. The utility of Psyfiend to be able to drop it in a choke point is amazing on kiting D or while chasing one. Gear is pretty similar to cata unless something changes minus the need for hit.

One difference is that Engi is coming back in style haven't taken the time to redo mine yet but it is a lot better then skinning.

Yeahh.. now that I look at it Psyfiend is much better than the Tendrils. Gear wise I think the BoA cloak is back in for priests due to already being hit capped as stated by Phe. Anyways welcome back Phe!
