19 boot enchants

Legend
I have been twinking on and off for about 4 years now and all throughout my years of twinking there was only one option for boot enchant: minor speed. Since blizz got rid of battlegroups and essentially gave my twinks use again :) I have been playing wsg and inspecting people and noticing that almost nobody uses minor speed. I can understand a druid using 7 stam or some class that has increased speed in some way.

Basically here's the point of my thread:

Can someone make an argument for a 19 twink not using minor speed to boots?

no. if you are not a druid or shaman or something that has speed increase else where you must use speed to boots. no argument. lets say you use 7 stamina thats 70 health. if i hunter is 40 yards away he will hit you for way way way more than that in the time you catch up to him.

edit: Its hard to explain, but yeah you need the run speed.

Argument:

Aside from classes/specs who already have a speed increase, Minor Speed increase < Any other feet enchantment.

Reasoning:

Your a baddie.

---------------------------------------------

Argument:

Aside from classes/specs who already have a speed increase, Minor Speed Increase > All other feet enchantments.

Reasoning:

Because your bad if you don't.

---------------------------------------------

Conclusion:

Aside from classes/specs who already have a speed increase, Minor Speed increase > All other feet enchantments.

There are that many snares going on in BG these days that was once dispellable makes it more worth while not using speed increase, its not often that you enter combat and you dont get snared if there is a mage, a hunter or a warrior on the enemy team. Some classes now such as ret paladins and assassination rogues, now have talents for movement speed increase therefore can take an alternate foot enchant.

I myself have been playing my 19 for over 5 years and asked the same question myself, i wasn't in agreement until i tried out a new boot enchant that made me realise that its not that bad running without minor speed anymore.

Agreed. Most classes will get much better utility from +7 stam, +5 hit, or +7 agil, than Minor Run Speed.

However, warriors are one of the select classes that need Minor Run Speed above all others. I, personally, have had many experiences where if I didn't have that extra little boost - I wouldn't have been able to get in range to PHowl a hunter before his Concussive Shot CD was up again . . .

. . . sigh and also trying to keep up with a druid FC while he shape-shifts in/out of my PHowl requires that 8% increase in speed.

I'm not sure if there are any other classes that "need" this enchant . . . possibly warlocks & priests?

Minor speed increase your Time on Target, Time on target is essentially the amount of time you are actively engaged with that target which in turn increases your damage per second. Any class that has the ability to increase their time on target could potentially drop the minor speed enchant. Paladins are obvious because they have movement enhancing talent and druids have travel and cat form. You could make the arguement that sub rogues have improved time on target due to shadowstep so they don't need minor speed, or that mages can blink, or hunters can disengage to travel faster across the map. These are all valid arguments against minor speed but if you want a good overall balanced enchant minor speed is always the way to go.

that was prettymuch what I was looking for

basically, there are excuses for not using minor speed but really it's the best enchant overall

with my hunters and rogues, i have several sets of boots

+7 agi

minor speed (pretty much worthless against f-druids, shammies, mages)

+7 stam

now thinking of putting +5 hit

druid has +7 agi (don't FC)

e-sham +7agi
