As far as I've seen Horde have about 3-4 regular healers that queue, on a good day we'll have two of them in one game at the most. The rest of the game will be made up of rogues and hunters, with a feral and mage scattered around.

Maybe not, but I bet your gameplay is significantly better, when compared to when you couldn't make the jumps, right? On a side note, somebody should make a step-by-step guide to WSG jumps !

Their range is fine, it's just the fact that you can't LoS them and quite often they have distance closers which just makes the situation worse.
