There are many busted procs that beat out the artifact weapons, I am unsure if we get access to those however. Perhaps you could swap between the weapons since you can in combat and some might have internal cooldowns. With how high armor is and if it procs enough that weapon could see some use...

Nice list! Sadly all pets and guardians scale automatically to your level, so I am unsure how effective the pet ones will be. However, you never know one of the pets could scale wrong then do decent or high damage.

You can gain azerite gear through the bfa questline, but they will currently not have traits in them, since they added a lvl requirement to black empire before live.

Ah, I was about to mention Legion before I reread your post. I would suggest that Legion be the focus first, considering the ilvl 44 gear, and since vets will have shatt gear right off the bat. any which way, seems like a fun event! Hope anyone who participates gets a bunch of good drops.
