I would suggest what ever editing software you get that it has the ability for multiple video and audio tracks. Really annoying only having one. I use Fraps to record gameplay seems pretty good and quite cheap.

Do it, why not, some people enjoy them, get to see the game from specs they don't normally play. Haters are going to hate, so ignore them. I actually didn't get any comments on my vids good or bad( not sure what that means) but the more the merrier
