From SL to DF we saw average item level go from 25 - > 84 with not necessarily a big gain in total stats. I wonder if we will be headed back toward the ilv 25 zone again?

Update. In SL time + LW jumping through the middle of oribos puts me in the maw, mobs scale to 20. In SL time without LW, jumping through the middle of oribos puts me into torghast, and the mobs in there are scaling to 20 also. Yay.

I took the 2nd skip and all the mobs in torghast are 50+ :(

For the single drop rares, especially the one you mentioned. You would farm this directly as level 20

While I wouldn’t say something so extreme as your example, I would say that items like the cloth helm socket bonus from culling of strath or cata defensive trinkets not scaling down to 20 is somewhat of an opposite effect

This is no longer happening. Veteran status accounts are no longer gaining banked xp since last weekend. While you can always keep yourself experience disabled, it will prevent you from queuing battlegrounds, while you are not subbed.
