there's a surprising shortage of hose jockeys (resto shaman) in the guild. we got all this state-of-the-art fire retardant gear (socketed ilvl 28 mail armor BoEs) laying around waiting for brave heroes to claim it.

3/3, it's still a meme item, giving up too much in secondaries for 3 primary or 3 stam (depending on if you socket for: glass or for pure stamina)

i was running some breakdowns on this: (assuming we are working with 18 slots only since: ilvl 28s for mastery are needed outside of the 3-socket TBC pieces) for BGs or 2s arenas: 9 talas + 2/2s = 18 agi / 72 stam 9 talas + 3s = 27 agi / 54 stam for 3s arenas: 2/2s = 36 agi / 36 stam 3s = 54...

this mindset also works for arena 2s (i guess), but once you have a dedicated healer in arena 3s, you might want to socket glass with +3 agi gems.

but then you miss out on 1 agi, dude! (inb4 i have to remind everyone that 1-socket bonuses don't work, and that +1 AP is a lie)

stam stacking is nice and all, but... slot it with two +3 agi gems for glass cannon build!

2/2 agi/stam is a good choice for WW, since mastery is on ilvl 28 gear, and +3 vers gems sacrifice too much for AGI users.

yeah, most of the shit colored gems get pretty cheap if you leave the AH alone for a day or two. i've yet to see big stacks of orange/purple drop below 50g a piece on most realms.

it was most definitely an out of place flex.
