nazi doctors thought smoking was a jewish plot of "lung masturbation". brilliant scientists, truly. I guess they got DDT correct but broken clocks and all.

The explorations they did in human anatomy as a whole is pretty much the entire basis of modern medicine we have today. So yeah, at least some good behind all the horror, moving forward.

The nazi experiments pushed the limits to the max with pretty much almost everything imaginable. It's been a strong basis for a lot of today's medicine. Yes we knew a lot in terms of human anatomy since medical science dating back to ancient greece and the roman empire.
