    Expansion cap refers to a wow account with a subscription but not the latest expansion. So currently, that's 70. Eventually it'll be 80 and so on.

    Fairly certain Blizzard removed the ability to disable xp beyond level 70. The reason expansion cap works is because your max level is 70, and xp is still technically on.
