Warlocks @ 70

Bored of end game raiding content so i plan on making a 70,

First i whas going to make a shaman, but got bored quick of playing it so now i decided to roll a warlock as i always loved casters.

I looked around a little on the forum but didnt found alot of warlocks at 70, so i am wondering or they are any good at 70 ? As i almost see noone in guilds etc.

I had 2,2k rating pre-cata with my demonology lock. They aren't very populated class at 70 and I haven't played that much after cataclysm came out but I'd say that they are yet definitely a good class to play. At least Demonology seems to obliterate battlegrounds, I'm just not that sure about arena. Here's armory link for my warlock:

Astraéa @ Darksorrow - Game - World of Warcraft

If you were looking for character to play in PvE, I can't promise anything about that. I wouldn't take 70lvl pve that seriously anyway.

Thanks for quick reply, demonology seems a fun spec to play whas going to try that spec out once i hit 70 anyway !

Good to see they good at bg's aswell etc, thought they were a bad class at 70 but they are just a unpoplar class at 70 =D.

and for pve what do you mean about that ? I play horde but putted my warlock at alliance (on terenas) bcus their is a big guild their and sure their will be alot of pve done :p.

I played warlock for awhile and I could beat preetymuch every frostmage 1v1

most mrost mages are rerolls that have no clue how to play there class dont bother juking casts dont bother even using a felhunter all they do is spam icelance.

at 80 I played a affliction warlock rockin full haste gems its great at 70 due to the scaling of wotlk gems and shit.

I find affliction more fun then demo/destro so I play it :|

chardev 8 - Cataclysm Beta

Is what Id do Depends on your playstyle really .

yea stupid reroll mages not using their felhunters!

wait full haste? wai

more dot ticks :D faster haunt casts and erythang

I dunno ive just always liked full haste.

dot ticks have break points tho, its best to hit one (there was one at like 1ksomething in LK) and then stack another stat like int..cuz you wont get enough haste to hit the next break point you see. its up to you but i never saw any full haste stackers

It is a matter of taste more than anything. While having at least one extra dot tick on UA and Corruption is very important (I think that's only 10% or something, out the top of my head), it's very doable to gain even two extra dot ticks on those dots. I think the 2nd dot pops in at around 30%. This also would give Agony 4 extra ticks, btw. This is, when going for full haste like the chardev posted before, manageable. And véry powerful too.

Whether the chardev posted was pure luck or intentionally, 30% haste is a nice point to be at. I'd say one of the best gear setups you can have at 70.

Rae
