My body is almost ready! Still missing another socket ring and a belt with one. Unfortunately none of the dungeons that scale up at 11 have trinkets so I gotta equip those slots normally. But a majority of the grinding is finished! Sadly the only 71 speed stat items I have are the wrong main stat, but this is functional enough. Just gotta run Wailing Caverns a bunch of times before pre patch drops for the ring and belt. Hope everyone's farming is going well!

I dont get why people are trembling at the thought of losing gear, ain't that what twinking is? scouting around whatever busted stuff we can use?

Though, I understand the feeling about TBC socket gear, that has certainly sticked around for a long while.

precisely why im not farming other gear until after the patch, i just wanted to get the necks because I knew they were doing away with the three sockets. My plan until the patch is to farm tons of mats for the regemming/rechanting process. My numbers of ore and chanting dust is now in the thousands.
I've had some game time for legion remix, so I spent the last couple of days getting 3 socket necklaces with satyr enchant on 40ish alts.
I suspect they will disable all the sockets and my hard work somehow, which is why I am not doing anything else.

A combination of being burned out with the game on top of disliking Microsoft and the direction Blizzard is taking the game with endless fomo and more half broken junk pushed out every eight weeks.
If the only new content is regrind all your gear with lower dps and mobs with inflated health pools, that is not a motivation to continue. Judging by how the 20s community keeps feeling like its getting smaller and smaller over time, I doubt that will be a motivation for many others also.
At this point it feels like "Wake me up when the next remix is revealed."
Do we know for a fact the TBC gear is going away?

We know for a fact that it is a bug, it will be red at start of prepatch but will likely be fixed within a few weeks

I remember one patch while I was in game someone flaunted their grandfathered BIS warforged gear to me because the patch had put level restrictions on any new drops and I just commented that it'll probably be fixed in a week; and it was indeed fixed rather quickly because there was no way Blizzard was going to leave the dungeon level up experience broken in a state like that.
In general it's a safe bet that anything that breaks the normal leveling up experience will be fixed sooner or later, which is why profession related things tend to remain broken in one way or another since that's not part of that particular equation. So it should be interesting to see if 3 socket necklaces end up being a grandfathered thing, or something that gets disabled entirely.

Thankfully this is fixed in live server. 84 => 23, 96 => 26. +4 agi gem is now +3.
