From SL to DF we saw average item level go from 25 - > 84 with not necessarily a big gain in total stats.
I wonder if we will be headed back toward the ilv 25 zone again?
From i25 days to now we had like 150%+ increase in raw stats and 100% increase in secondary stats.
What is common gear now use to be absolute bis unreachable for most people.
Only max proc i37 (later i35) legion pre expansion gear come close to current stats.
There was no streamlining of every gear slot at low level like it is now.
Secondary stats was only available from few slots.
We had exponentially less gearing options.
Back on topic however this wont solve the pacing of things or bring it back to what it use to be.
Within 2 patches it will go tits up again. Kind of been here before.
They could push it to ilevel 1300 some years ago before it mathematically breaks down. Not sure how it is now.
Looks like around i720 is meta now so technically they didn't need it for midnight since it suppose to be shorter one.
Probably doing it because it is absurd.
Also they still got 5+ multipliers for every spell in background so stat distribution more of a smoke screen.
Without flat damage caps and gcd in pvp goin up to like 3 seconds low level retail pvp will still be a clow show.
Solution to a dead leveling queues all over will be introduction of AI bots on permanent basis to everywhere i assume.
