What is the current state of Twinking in retail?

Hey all,

I came back to wow for classic, but remembered I have a few f2p twinks as well as some 29s sitting on my retail account. I last played them in legion, and am wondering how the game has changed, if Twinking is still active, and what the queue times are like. Would love a little insight. Thanks.

F2P/vet is all that's going on.

And 110s I guess but you don't get bfa gear with them

I just came back after 3 years. I have been playing for a few bgs in the 19s bracket, and I am happy to inform that gear does count, no more gear score, but it looks like the 19s bracket is still quite off, as far as burst, crazy burst, but then again my toon had loons and some enchants but wasn't a twink and I am playing a balance druid, so it could be better than it seems, I accidentally leveled past 20 and now i am at 29 , did a few bgs to get to 28, hunters seem to be super bursty, but what's new about that, right?
